Three classic bands from the 90s and 2000s, Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy, are apparently planning on going on tour together.

The three iconic groups have been promoting their upcoming global Hella Mega tour, by each sharing a different video, some weird, others hilarious. The American Idiot trio is going to join the Sugar, We're Going Down rockers and the Buddy Holly legends on a joint tour in 2020, which is promising to be one of the most amazing throwbacks of all time.

The three bands are due to play gigs at the London Stadium and also at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow in Scotland, The John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield, and the RDS Arena in Dublin in Ireland.

Green Day posted a video which appears to be a parody of the classic comedy movie Anchorman, with Billie Joe Armstrong's face superimposed onto the character of Ron Burgundy.

The video homages the news anchor battle scene, with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Weezer's Rivers Cuomo taking the place of Will Ferrel's Ron Burgandy and Vince Vaughn's Wes Mantooth respectively.

Meanwhile, on their official YouTube channel, Fall Out Boy promoted the upcoming tour by dressing WCW royalty Rick Flair up and making him deliver a commercial for it in the style of an Alex Joneseque newsreader.

But the weirdest and most offbeat promo of all came from Weezer, who announced the news with an animation of an alien wearing a fuzzy yellow hat. Just what you'd expect from a band that was popular in the days of the X-Files.

The bands are also intending on celebrating the release of some new tunes. Green Day has recently dropped a brand new single Father Of All. Meanwhile, Fall Out Boy has shared a track called Future Self (Hands Up) featuring Wyclef Jean. Finally, Weezer has released a song called The End of the Game.
