Halsey has jumped on a beauty trend that many of us have been considering during the coronavirus pandemic, especially when hairdressers were forced to shut during lockdown.

That's right, this week Halsey has managed to leave her fans stunned, revealing that she's completely shaved her whole head in a viral video originally posted to TikTok.

Take a look at the video Halsey shared of her debuting her shaved head:

In footage that the 26-year-old pop sensation shared with her 2.4 million followers on TikTok, and 21.7 million followers on Instagram, Halsey can be seen wearing a long brown wig, before flipping her head and tossing the wig aside to reveal her fresh buzzcut.

Per People Magazine, this post comes just one year after Halsey (who is biracial) opened up about her frustration with hair products in hotels catered purely to caucasian people.

In a tweet to her 13.6 million followers, Halsey wrote: "I’ve been traveling for years now and it’s been so frustrating that the hotel toiletry industry entirely alienates people of color.

"I can’t use this perfumed watered down white people shampoo. Neither can 50% of ur customers. Annoying. [sic]"

Take a look at Pink's new haircut in the video below:

But Halsey isn't the first celebrity to shave her head lately. Back in March, Pink also shocked her eight million Instagram fans by shearing off all her hair.

In the clip in question, Pink states:

"I wanted to share something that I did last night. When I drink, I get really, really brilliant ideas, and last night I got an idea: I can cut hair! I can totally cut hair. Why have I been paying people this whole time? Look what I did!"

Turning her head, Pink then proceeded to display her close-cropped scalp, and she also managed to rock the look.

Earlier this year, Halsey took to Twitter to explain why people should not have been making fun of rapper Kanye West after concerns circulated regarding his mental health. She wrote:

"No jokes right now. I have dedicated my career to offering education and insight about bipolar disorder and I’m so disturbed by what I'm seeing. Personal opinions about someone aside, a manic episode isnt a joke. If you can’t offer understanding or sympathy, offer your silence.

"A lot of people you know probably have bipolar disorder and you aren’t aware of it. Taking this opportunity to make offensive remarks and villify people with mental illnesses is really not the way to go...this is the exact triggering shit that causes people to keep quiet about it."
