Diss tracks are usually synonymous with rap music, but for over 20 years I've been sat here wondering if Brad Pitt ever got over being burned by Shania Twain in her iconic pop-country track 'That Don't Impress Me Much'.

Why not enjoy the incredible track while you read this article?

In the now-iconic anthem, Twain sings about men possessing a series of traditionally admirable traits - a nice car, intelligence, etc. - and then she delivers one of the greatest put-downs in all of music.

"Okay, so you're Brad Pitt. That don't impress me much..."

Since the single was released back in December of 1998, I can only imagine Brad Pitt has needed a constant supply of aloe vera for that BURN.

Now, during an interview with Australia's Daily Telegraph, Twain has admitted that she is finally impressed with the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor.

In the interview, Twain was asked if she had seen the viral meme featuring Brad Pitt playing a rocket scientist with a car in the movie Ad Astra. Referencing Twain's smash hit, the caption read: "Those are the three things that don’t impress Shania Twain much!!!"

Twain, 54, then laughed and admitted that she did see the meme and is "thrilled" that her lyrics have lasted the test of time. She said:

"Yes, I did see it. I think it’s awesome; I like to write with a sense of humor. I didn’t realize it would go this far or be memorable. I’m thrilled that reference has lasted the test of time."

The country music legend then added that Pitt's recent career achievements have, indeed, left her impressed:

"And I must say I’m very impressed by Brad’s wonderful career. He’s been getting some great accolades recently, so I’m very proud of Brad. I hope he takes it with the sense of humor that was intended."

Last month, Brad Pitt won his first acting Academy Award, taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

A month prior to this win, Pitt also scooped the gong for Best Supporting Actor (Motion Picture) at the Golden Globes.

But why did Twain use Brad Pitt's name in her lyrics? Well, the star revealed all in an interview with  Billboard back in 2017. She said:

"You want to know the truth about this story? I've never told this before. I'm going to say it now.

"I remember I had a girlfriend visiting me and it was near Christmas and we were baking cookies. I was writing this album and there was a scandal of [Pitt] and Gwyneth [Paltrow] where there was naked photos of him [in Playgirl magazine, which Pitt later successfully sued for publishing the paparazzi photos]. And this was like all the rage.

"I just thought 'I don't know what all the fuss is about.' I'm like, well that don't impress me much, I mean what is all the fuss. We see people naked every day. That's really what I thought.

"I wasn't picking on Brad Pitt. But that was just the association in that moment and things we make fusses about and whatever. Of course, it could have been any gorgeous guy."

I, personally, have always been impressed with Brad Pitt.
