Selena Gomez appears to have been involved in a heated exchange with a security guard while attending a concert in Paris.

Footage of the incident was posted to Twitter by fans who saw the 30-year-old walking through the Stade de France surrounded by security while attending Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour.

Gomez, dressed in all black with her hair pulled back into a messy bun, then stops amongst the crowd and seemingly starts yelling at a security guard who was pointing at something in the distance.

Along with the footage, captions suggested that Gomez was forced to speak out after she allegedly witnessed the unnamed security guard "violently" push a fan who was trying to greet the star.

Though it has not been officially confirmed whether this was the case, multiple fans on the social media platform have posted a similar recollection of events.

It has also not been confirmed whether the guard was working for the 'Lose You To Love Me' singer or whether he was just working for the venue.

After the footage was uploaded to social media via multiple accounts, many decided to express their opinions on the matter.

Some were harsh on Gomez after an alternate explanation sent to the popular gossip account Deux Moi claimed that the star was not, in fact, shouting at security because of their actions, and instead it was because the show was about to start and she wasn't at her seat yet.

However, others jumped to the Rare Beauty owner's defence stating that Gomez is a sweet person and would not fly off the handle if it wasn't for good reason.

"...People at the event literally said she was mad at security, y’all want Selena to be a b**** so bad when multiple people in the industry have confirmed she’s one of if not THE sweetest celebrity out here, you don’t know her nor were you at the show so STFU," wrote one user.

"Selena Gomez has a heart of gold when it comes to everyday ppl, who just want to say, 'Hi.' Her security thugs need to honour that. No need to rough one of them up," added another user after seeing the videos.

And another also decided to post more receipts backing up the theory: "People keep trying to push this narrative that Selena Gomez was mad for no reason at the event but then here is the same security guard that is very aggressive towards her fans and there’s video proof. She’s just protecting the fans."

Beyond the drama of the exchange, the concert was praised as one of the best shows Beyoncé has delivered so far.

As per the Independent, during the show, the Queen Bey's daughter Blu Ivy made a surprise appearance by unexpectedly joining her mother on stage for the song 'My Power' and later led the troupe of dancers during the song 'Black Parade', performing technical choreography with intricate footwork.

Other celebrities such as Kylie Jenner were also seen enjoying the performances on Friday night.
