UFC's Joanna Jedrzejczyk left with huge swellings after Zhang Weili fight

Last night, UFC star Joanna Jedrzejczyk was left with considerable swellings to her face following what is reportedly being hailed as the greatest female fight in UFC history.

Jedrzejczyk, 32, was defeated by Zhang Weili, 30, who managed to retain her strawweight title at UFC 248 via split decision, Metro reports.

This is the horrific moment  Joanna Jedrzejczyk was left looking unrecognizable following injuries sustained in her UFC fight with Zhang Weili:

The 32-year-old was interviewed in the octagon after the fight, saying per Metro:

"You see my swellness, I felt this. She did great. There was something missing, but I felt all the punches you know. From the third round the swellness was bothering me and I felt it was just getting more and more swollen and my head was like going on and off. But all good, congratz Zhang and I’m very happy we gave you a good fight."

Related - last December, Colby Covington suffered a broken jaw following UFC fight with Kamaru Usman:

Both Jedrzejczyk and Zhang were rushed to hospital after the fight, with the Polish MMA fighter having sustained a hematoma, according to the publication.

UFC president Dana White has reportedly said that neither of the pair would be booked another fight until they've sufficiently recovered.

"Did you see what those two girls looked like after that fight? They're both in the hospital right now,” he said. "They did not go to a press conference, they did not talk to the press, they both went straight to the hospital. They need to go home, take time to heal up and everything else before I even mention a fight with either one of them again."

White also prasied the MMA stars for a “f***ing incredible fight!” on Twitter.

Metro reports that Jedrzejczyk was discharged earlier this morning with "no significant injuries".
