Stephen 'tWitch' Boss's grandfather has opened up on the last conversation the pair had before the dancer's death, admitting there were "no signs" he would take his own life.
Boss, 40, was found dead on Tuesday at a motel near his home after being reported missing by his distraught wife, Allison Holker.
Holker, 34, had become concerned after Boss left their home without his car and she was unable to reach him on his mobile phone, which was out of character for him.
His body was discovered after staff at the motel went into his room to do a welfare check after he failed to check out at the allotted time.
Boss's beloved grandfather, Eddy Boss, who regularly featured on the TV star's social media account, has revealed what the final message he received from his grandson said prior to his death.
The 84-year-old told the Daily Mail that Boss had messaged him to say: "I love you Dad-Dad", and shared a birthday tribute to his grandfather just days before he died.
Boss Sr. revealed: "We spoke as recently as Saturday on more than one occasion. He was the same happy-go-lucky person that he's always been. We had no indication that anything was out of the ordinary."
He described the late star as a "very humble, generous person" who "brought light into everybody's lives," and said that the family were "completely devastated" by his death.
"All I can say is he was a beautiful person that contributed so much to this world and to everyone he met in a positive way. We miss him dearly and we're hurting tremendously," he added.
Boss Sr. said the family has been left questioning why the tragedy had occurred after not spotting anything out of the ordinary in the lead-up to his death.
He also urged others to look out for signs in their own loved ones, despite them appearing outwardly happy and content.
Just days before he died, Boss had shared a sweet post honoring his grandfather's birthday, writing: "Shouting the BIGGEST HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY GRANDFATHER (DADA)! I love you! IG fam help me wish him happy birthday @mreb38 #OGBoss."
He had also celebrated his ninth wedding anniversary with Holker just three days before taking his own life, with the pair having posted tributes to one another online.
Holker had paid a heartbreaking tribute to Boss, confirming the news of his death and promising to "save the last dance" for him.
Boss is survived by his wife and three children; Weslie, 14, Maddox, six, and Zaia, three.
