Joseph Quinn has gone viral on social media after a video showed him being moved to tears by an audience member at London Film and Comic-Con.

The 29-year-old British actor made his debut in Netflix's Stranger Things season four in May as the metalhead Eddie Munson, who has quickly become a fan favorite on the show.

At a meet and greet on Saturday (July 9), Quinn was allegedly told by staff at the event not to interact with fans beyond signing autographs in order to move the line more quickly, Buzzfeed reports.

A fan, who took part in a Q&A segment of the convention, took it upon herself to praise Quinn after security allegedly mistreated him.

Watch the video below:

"Mine’s not really a question, it’s just more of an extension of gratitude really," the audience member told Quinn.

"I’m sure a lot of us have heard what happened [at the meet-and-greet], whether it’s true or not, about how you were treated… But I just wanted to say thank you from all of us," she said.

"We’re really grateful that you’re sharing your time, thank you for signing our things, for spending time with us and making our summer," she continued.

"I think we've all really connected with Eddie for one reason or another," she said of Quinn's character. "Whether we liked his music taste or that he is the outsider."

"We’ve traveled far because we all really connect with you as well, and you’ve really made our weekend. You’ve really made mine as well, you were so nice to me and my guide dog yesterday," they concluded. "However you were treated yesterday, we are so grateful - thank you."

A visibly emotional Quinn then used his sleeve to wipe his face as the crowd cheered, with others shouting "thank you". After composing himself, he joked: "Now, why'd you do that?" before adding: "That's very kind of you. Thank you for your kind words."

As of this writing, the video of the moment garnered 14.2K likes on the social media platform, with fans expressing gratitude to the speaker and honoring the actor.

One user wrote: "This is so sweet on all the levels. The fan is so sweet. Joseph taking it in is so sweet. The authenticity of it all is so sweet."

Another commented: "The staff [was] terrible to Joseph Quinn, they even yelled at him. Instead of getting angry he just continued to be nice to everyone who paid to see him. He's a stand-up guy."

A third said: "At about 12 sec in you see it: his emotion over the [acknowledgment] & validation of his feelings. Been there, felt that, and I can tell you that no matter how big or famous you are, recognizing what someone feels and validating them will always have tremendous impacts. Be kind."

The meet and greet was reportedly oversold and resulted in more than 400 fans lining up eager to meet Quinn, according to Buzzfeed.

The organization that promoted the event responded to the reports on social media and denied that staff had been rude to Quinn. They also said the event was not overbooked in a lengthy thread on Twitter.

"There are a few untrue stories going around about Joseph & his family members being shouted at by his security team, which are 100% untrue," Showmasters Director of Events Jason Joiner wrote.

"There is a story about Joseph being overworked & the event being oversold which again is 100% untrue," they also added.

All in all, it made the breakout star of the hit show even more beloved in the eyes of Stranger Things fans.
