Trevor Noah has been blasted for poking fun at King Charles III.
The comedian mocked the new king during Thursday's episode of The Daily Show, branding him "spoilt" following an incident that appeared to show the new monarch becoming frustrated at a leaking pen as he tried to sign official documents in Northern Ireland in the wake of his mother's death.
However, many viewers felt that the joke was in poor taste and that Noah was wrong to mock the monarch while he is still in mourning.

During a five-minute-long monologue, Noah said about the new king: "Now look, maybe King Charles is just stressed out right now, maybe that's why this is happening. Becoming king is a lot of pressure, I mean there are like 15 different forks to memorize and you have to sleep with a crown on, that's not comfortable."
He went on to accuse King Charles III of having a short temper, saying: "If you paid attention to Charles during his days as a prince you would know this is pretty much how he's always been."
The comedian then showed a clip of former royal butler Paul Burrell saying Charles was quick to scold him if any staff misstepped.

"When I was a kid I thought kings pulled swords out of stones but this dude can bearly pull his d*** out of his own pants," Noah continued, adding: "The Royals have been royally spoilt."
Many viewers were outraged that Noah had criticized King Charles III so soon after Queen Elizabeth II's death. Many took to Twitter to slam the comedian and ask him to show a bit more compassion for the grieving monarch.
"Give the King a break! He has been on the go since his mothers death [sic]. Scotland a few times, London, Ireland and back to London. Walking, standing, speaking and all in mourning," tweeted one person.
"He just lost his mother….it doesn’t matter. I get it…When I lost my mother, I was lost and horribly emotional at the slightest thing," another pointed out.
"Get off his case. People react differently. He has just lost his mother. The weight of hundreds of years of tradition bears on his shoulders. He hasn't had time to process the loss or to mourn. He is old. Give the man a break, for goodness sakes," agreed a third.
Another argued: "The man’s mother just died and he has to grieve on the worlds stage, maybe cut him some slack you absolute ghoul of a human @Trevornoah.
"What’s wrong with you? That desperate for a laugh you’re actually going after a man who has lost his father and now mother in quick succession?"
