Tyler, The Creator has hit back at a troll who said he wouldn't win a Grammy nine years ago.
Now, in case you didn't see the event, the musician won the Grammy for the Best Rap Album and used his acceptance speech as an opportunity to call out racial bias in the industry.
Then, he went a step further on Twitter, showing that he was a total king in the troll department too, retweeting a tweet from 2011 and writing: "I FAVORITED THIS 9 YEARS AGO JUST FOR THE MOMENT TO TELL YOU I GOT ONE. YES IM PETTY AS F*CK, GOOD DAY MARK."
The original tweet was in reference to Tyler's aspirations to win a Grammy. It read: "@f*cktyler dont b too excited. u wont get one....."
At the time of writing, the gloriously petty tweet has had almost half a million likes, and thankfully, Mark seemingly took it on the chin and congratulated Tyler on his win.
Needless to say, anyone who has ever been doubted in an endeavor could relate to Tyler's tweet, and the responses to the tweet were almost as good as the tweet itself.
In fact, one person pointed out that despite seemingly wishing Tyler well, his hater was still very much a hater.
"Lmaoooo 9 years later and he's still hating," they wrote.
Meanwhile, another fan simply shared a picture of Tyler holding his Grammy and wrote: "THEY HATE TO SEE IT."
However, this wasn't the only hilariously notable thing to happen on Twitter after the Grammys.
People also pointed out that Nick Jonas performed with food on his teeth:One fan, however, speculated that this was done for a reason, writing: "Nick Jonas had food in his teeth during his performance and I think Joe and Kevin purposely didn’t tell him as pay back for breaking up the band years ago."
So, if there's a lesson to be learned from this story it's this: it's probably not a good idea to shoot down people's dreams on social media. It might come back to haunt you.
