As people across the UK and even the globe celebrate King Charles III's coronation - only the second televised one in history - the Sussexes will be celebrating a special milestone of their own...
...Prince Archie's fourth birthday!
The eldest child of Prince Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 41, is celebrating being one year older on May 6 - the same day his grandfather King Charles III will officially be crowned king!
And while the youngster won't be taking part in London's coronation festivities with the rest of his extended family, we do know that he'll be celebrating the occasion in Montecito, California, with his mother and younger sister Lilibet. Prince Harry will be in the UK for his father's coronation.
It was long thought that the Sussexes would be completely absent from the event. However, after being formally invited, Buckingham Palace announced last month: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."
In August last year, Meghan spoke to New York Magazine's The Cut about being a mom and her life in California, with the writer Allison P. Davis, even accompanying the mother-of-two to collect Archie from his preschool. In the piece, Davis wrote about how excited Archie was to see his mother at pick-up time, saying: "Momma, Momma, Momma", when they met in the playground.
Meghan and Prince Harry had a tumultuous couple of months following the release of their six-part Netflix documentary and Harry's memoir Spare - in which he made bombshell claims about how the Royal Family operates.
Following this, Jeremy Clarkson wrote a scathing column about Meghan - expressing a disturbing desire to see her paraded around the streets naked and covered in excrement, reminiscent of Queen Cersei's Walk of Atonement in Game of Thrones.
The former Top Gear host, 62, had shocked fans with disturbing comments in his column for The Sun, in which he also wrote: "I actually feel rather sorry for [Harry] because today he's just a glove puppet with no more control over what he says or does than Basil Brush." While Clarkson eventually apologized, it was another example of the bizarre bitterness many Britons felt for the Sussexes after their departure from royal life in the UK.
With this in mind, it's heartwarming to see Prince Harry and Meghan so content with their new lives in California.
Happy birthday to Prince Archie!
