Kanye West often seems larger than life. With his outspoken and often polarising views on everything from
Donald Trump to his wife
Kim Kardashian's sartorial choices, it appears that the rapper does really believe that his word is the divine oracle in the entertainment industry. I mean, we're talking about the individual who once declared himself to be the "greatest living artist". Oh, and then there was that infamous moment at the 2009 VMA's when Kanye ran up to the stage during
Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video, proclaiming "I'mma let you finish" but interrupting her anyway.
And West's reputation as a diva has only grown since then. Just last year his former bodyguard disclosed that the 40-year-old rapper is so spoilt that he refuses to press lift buttons, and prevents staff from talking around him, touching him or even wearing colours. But it seems that after marrying Kim
Kardashian and experiencing parenthood, our favourite megalomaniac has mellowed.

The rapper reportedly reached out to a fan who was battling cancer and rapped to her over the phone just days before she passed away.
The story first started making the rounds on social media last week when a woman took to Twitter to write, "This girl in my town had cancer and Kanye called her a couple of days ago to rap for her. I think Kim was there, too. Wasn’t even blasted on social media or anything. She passed yesterday. I have so much respect for him tho. Making her happy in his last moments."

While the majority of us have been around long enough to be incredibly sceptical whenever such claims are made on the internet, it appears this story is actually legit. In fact, it was even confirmed by Kim Kardashian herself. Responding to the original post, Kardashian added: "We are praying for her family."

And according to TMZ, the family of the girl got in touch with the rapper to tell him that she was a huge fan and in response, Kanye FaceTimed the individual, and they talked for a while. She then reportedly requested that he rap his song "I love Kanye" for her, which he did.
Of course, the people of the internet had quite a reaction to the news. One Twitter user wrote, "Such an amazing thing to do! Glad you guys were both able to make it happen," while another corroborated, "Too bad more people don't say the good things he does...only the negative. Prayers to the family. So sorry for their loss".
However, this is not the first time that Kanye has channelled his inner samaritan and kept quiet about it. Last year, die-Hard Yeezy fan, Tyler Wesley was left paralysed after a serious car accident, and shared a heartfelt Instagram post about how his life had changed after the crash. The post caught the attention of Kanye, and just a few weeks after the initial Instagram, Tyler posted an image of a brand-new pair of Yeezy Boost 350 V2s as well as a handwritten note from the rapper himself, which read: "You are an inspiration. You show the world that anything is possible. Thank you for sharing your journey."
