We all know that Christmas is a time for family. An occasion where we gather with our relatives and those dearest to us and spend a bit of quality time together.
And that also goes for reality TV's most famous family: the Kardashian-Jenner clan.
Yet, this week Kim Kardashian's latest family Christmas portrait has inadvertently sparked a ton of speculation online, due to the bizarre appearance of certain members of her family.
The uproar first began on Wednesday (December 23), when the 40-year-old model, influencer, and television personality took to her official Instagram account to share a candid snap with her 195 million followers.

The picture, which was captioned simply: "Tahoe w the fam [sic]", shows Kim alongside Kris and Kendall Jenner, as well as Khloe Kardashian and Scott Disick.
Although the image looks fairly ordinary at first glance, a number of social media users couldn't help but notice that Kourtney looked somewhat faint, leading many to conclude that she had been photoshopped into the pic.
As you can see, a number of people took to the comments of Kim's post to speculate on whether or not the image had been digitally manipulated.
For example, one Instagram user wrote: "Is it only me or does anyone else feels that Kourtney is photoshopped into this? She is the only one who looks as they have added her into this."
On Twitter, a number of social media users started sharing the image and created image macros lampooning Kourtney's questionable appearance.

Now, although people are quick to cast judgement on Kim and her family, it is likely the picture is photoshopped and with good reason: there is a pandemic going on and 'tis the season to stay six-feet apart.
So this may just be Kim having a little fun with her followers.
Indeed, although the idea sounds far-fetched, Kim has previously been accused of and has admitted to photoshopping her family pictures.
For instance, in a 2019 interview with Ellen Degeneres Kim confirmed that she had photoshopped her daughter North into a family photo with her husband Kanye West and their other three children, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kim admitted to photoshopping North in the following interview:

Kim told Ellen: "It's the most anxiety to get four kids together smiling in a room. North was having a day, so she refused to be in the shoot."
"She just was crying because she wanted her specific hairstyle, whatever. I said: 'Fine you’re not gonna be in the card.'"

It's December 24, so by now the front of your fridge is probably covered with Christmas cards from family. Well, tear all that crap down. The Kardashian-Jenners just released their 2018 Christmas card, and they are far more important than your family.
This photo almost didn't happen due to scheduling conflicts. As you probably saw on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and Kourtney got into an explosive argument while trying to figure out a day and time that work for everybody.
[[youtubewidget||https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urzF5LjN5kY]]
During the row, Kim said, "I need Kourtney to not be so f***ing annoying with a stick up her ass like she f***ng runs this sh*t, because she doesn’t. She’s the least exciting to look at, so she can be out." Later, Kourtney fired back at Kim, stating, "You're a very distraught, evil human being. I don't agree with who you are as a human being."
Due to all that drama, you'd probably expect Kourtney and her family to be absent from the 2018 Christmas card. However, Kardashian-Jenners are just like any family: Even when they're pissed off at each other, they can pretend everything's fine, and put on convincing smiles for the camera.

Today, Kim shared her family's glamorous 2018 Christmas card on Instagram, writing, "Merry Christmas!! ✞ We all wish you love and harmony✞ So far this is by far my most favorite of any Christmas ✞ I have all I could ever want ✞ FAMILY ✞"
In the photo, the KarJenners are squeezed onto a tiny couch, dressed in their finest winter white. On the left, we have Dream Kardashian (Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian's daughter) who is hugging/strangling Mason (Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick's son). Next to them, golden crowned Khloé holds her daughter, True Thompson. (The father, Tristan Thompson isn't pictured, but after all that cheating drama, did you really expect to see him?)
Kourtney Kardashian holds Penelope Disick and Reign Disick, while trying her best to be "interesting to look at." (Did she succeed?) Next to her, Kylie holds Stormi Webster, whom she had with rapper Travis Scott. (Not pictured, probably because he was on tour.) And of course, Kim Kardashian sits on the far right, holding her three kids, North, Chicago and Saint West.

Now, if you know you know your Kardashians, and I know you do, you probably noticed that three key family members are missing: Matriarch Kris Jenner, entitled model Kendall Jenner, and hip-hop icon turned insufferable social media troll, Kanye West.
On Twitter, Kim explained their absence: "This year we waited until the last minute to do a card. Schedules we’re changing, my husband was in and out of town. But The day of this card last minute realized we were all together so we had all of our kids come meet us.." She continued, "Kendall and my mom rushed to a meeting after this shoot so this is what we have! As many of us as possible!"
Okay, so at least three members of the Kardashian-Jenner family are missing. But it's still a beautiful Christmas card - way better than all the Christmas cards from your family.
