11-year-old Cartier Carey started his own lemonade stand with the aim of alleviating some of the strain that has been put on single parents during the coronavirus pandemic.

Per Yahoo! the 11-year-old, who hails from Virginia, is using 100% of the profits from his lemonade stand to buy diapers and baby wipes from local grocery stores to donate to single moms and dads in need.

"I wanted to help mothers who were struggling." He said, according to CNN.

The lemonade stand is just the latest addition to Cartier Carey's initiatives to provide aid during the coronavirus pandemic. CNN reports that earlier this year, Carey created care packages named "Carti packs," which were distributed among the homeless population. They contained deodorant, soap and tissues.

Cartier Carey founded his own nonprofit organization - named Kids 4 Change 757 - around a year ago. His motivation to create the movement was, he said, to "help the community and make the community better."

Of his lemonade stand initiative, Carey told Live with Kelly and Ryan, “I just wanted to raise money and spread awareness about single mothers that are struggling during this pandemic. They’re doing everything on their own so I decided to help,”

A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help the nonprofit begin to deliver to families outside of Cartier Carey's local area. "Due to the large news coverage we have received alot more request for diapers from parents in need outside of Virginia." Reads a portion of the description.

An update on the page adds, "Thank you to everyone who donated. We are planning to travel to different states and set up Drive Thru’s so that we can distribute diapers to single mothers in need. We are also helping single fathers as well. We are receiving hundreds of request from parents in need."

Carey's mother previously described her pride for her son's altruistic initiative. "We're very proud," she said,  "he has always wanted to help."

As the pandemic continued, the lemonade stand had to be taken down as a safety precaution, but Cartier Carey had a solution for this, as well.

"Sad news! Because of the rising numbers in Virginia from the ‘Covid 19’ Virus we are forced to shut down our lemonade stand outside,” he wrote on Instagram. “We want you all as safe as possible. But hey, we do have some good news!! We aren’t closing for good. We found a way to continue the marathon!! We are going Virtual!!! That’s right a virtual lemonade stand & snack Bar.”
