A mom has gone viral on social media after sharing a video of her 12-year-old son’s birthday celebrations at a Hooters restaurant.
TikTok user Aleea - who goes by the handle @emtmomlife82 on the social media platform - posted a video of her son celebrating his birthday at one of the popular restaurants.
The video showed staff at the chain singing her son 'Happy Birthday' and had an overlay text that read: "He wanted to go to Hooters for the wings. Yeah right!! No, he didn’t order wings."

However, the video also sparked an online debate, with some TikTokers questioning if the young boy was old enough to be at the restaurant while others applauded the mom for allowing her son to go there for his special day.
A few people loved Aleea's support for her son and quickly flooded her comment section with praise.
One user wrote: "He didn’t break eye contact. Good man. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" While another added: "Great parenting."
A third user chimed in and said: "That smile on his face will always [be] the best memory."
A fourth commented: "What a cool mom you are doing this for your son...something to remember."
However, not everybody agreed with the doting mom.
One user wrote: "My mom [would've] grounded for me just asking."
Another commented: "My parents would never let me go there tbh I’ll just go there for the girls."
A third said: "These comments ain’t it… who takes their child to an establishment that objectifies women."
While Hooters has no age requirement for customers, the restaurant chain has been known for its primarily attractive servers wearing revealing outfits.
In a follow-up video, the mom said she was sure she would get a ton of "Karens" saying "oh my gosh you took your kid to Hooters."
Aleea goes on to say she enjoyed all the comments and uploaded another video where her son reads the Bible because "a guy on TikTok told [him] to do it because [he] needs Jesus in [his] life for going to Hooters."
