A bodybuilder has gone viral for calling out a woman who shamed another gymgoer.

TikTok trainer Joey Swoll - who goes by @thejoeyswoll on the social media platform - slammed the woman for her cruel mocking.

He began by reposting a TikTok clip originally shared by @nikkii_fitness, in which she points out a man lifting dumbells behind her in the gym.

"What do you think he’s doing? What do you think he’s working? I don’t know either," she said sarcastically in the video, making fun of his routine.

Joey was having none of it.

He attached his own response at the end of her video, in which he explained exactly what the man was doing.

"What he’s working is biceps. He’s doing what’s called a drag curl. Now, granted, most people do them with a barbell – he’s doing them with dumbells so it may look a little strange, a little awkward," he said.

Joey went on to say that the movement is a legitimate and well-known exercise of which top bodybuilder Charles Glass is a big proponent.

"The point of it is as you take your elbows back and drag up along your body you're taking stress off the deltoid and putting it on the bicep," he explained, adding that "it's actually a great workout."

However, he went on to say that the most important thing the man was doing was minding his own business.

"But what’s most important, what he’s doing and working most of all is minding his own business," Joey said cuttingly.

"The fact that people at the gym take videos of other people to try and make fun of them blows my mind. Be better than that" he finished.

The TikTok post has already racked up over 17 million views and thousands of comments, with many people praising Joey.

"Thank you. Be helpful not hateful. Amen brother," wrote one viewer.

"Good for you calling her out," added another.

Meanwhile, one user commented that the fear of being filmed doing something "wrong" holds her back in the gym.

"That’s my biggest fear. That I’ll try something for the first time and I’ll get judged and a new fear, filmed," she wrote.
