If lockdown has taught us anything, it's that it's totally OK to experiment with our appearance when we know no one is there to judge us. Even if that means growing a literal circle around our face...

Because let me tell you, people have really been taking their experimental beard styles to the extreme in the last year and a half.

So, without further ado, let us introduce you to the "circle beard" (yes, it really is a thing).

While it may not initially seem like the most flattering style in the world, it's certainly a novelty. And there's absolutely no harm in sticking out from the crowd from time to time.

And there have been plenty of people sharing their thoughts on the unique style.

One person said: "It's great. I hope it catches on. I will spend the whole day giggling."

Another suggested: "Can't be all that bad. Doubles as a carry handle."

A third chimed in: "Making 'man buns' look good."

And, according to the Daily Star, the comments on this striking new beard style just kept rolling in. Per the outlet, one person said: "They should call it the 'Toilet Seat'". Ouch!

Another social media user decided to reach out to his fellow internet users to ask whether he himself should go for the beard and one referred to it as the "new hot thing".

This facial hair craze comes months after the "monkey tail beard" made an appearance earlier this year.

Per The Daily Mail, it involves shaving one side of your cheek so that it's hairless while leaving the other hairy.

The beard should trail down from one sideburn, along the jawline and chin, before it curls up around the side of the mouth and ends above the top lip to create a whimsical spiral-shaped beard.

The trend is believed to have been made popular by MLB baseball player Mike Fiers back in 2019, who showed off his own monkey tail beard on the field during a game.

Would you consider growing and styling your very own circle beard? Let us know in the comments!
