Conjoined twins have revealed how they manage the dating scene as part of their unique lives.

Carmen and Lupita - who are connected at the torso, sharing two legs and a pelvis but each having two arms - were part of a Jubilee YouTube series called Ask Me Anything, where people can ask unfiltered questions anonymously to others from behind a screen.

Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest questions the Mexican-born Connecticut-raised twins received was dating-related.

This then eventually evolved into questions about what sort of person each twin finds attractive, and whether they are attracted to the same type of romantic partner, to which Lupita replied: "So I'm actually asexual and aromantic."

For those who don't know, "asexual" is a term used for a lack of sexual attraction to others, with "aromantic" being a lack of interest in romantic relationships.

Carmen then chimed in, saying: "I've been dating my current boyfriend for about a year and a half," before she revealed that they met on the dating app Hinge.

"Not gonna lie, it was really awkward," Carmen laughed, adding: "I was obviously going to be transparent about everything. It was a learning process for everybody - we obviously had to have a discussion on what boundaries are okay and what aren't."

Carmen then revealed that she and her boyfriend are not intimate in "that way" - which he's okay with.

One person even asked Carmen if Lupita was a "good wingwoman," to which Carmen swiftly replied: "No. She likes to make fun of everyone!"

"Was there an option of separation," someone else asked the 22-year-olds, as the questions shifted focus to slightly more serious topics.

"So, our parents tried to find doctors that can, but we finally got our final answer of 'No' when we were four years old," Lupita answered.

Carmen then elaborated, saying: "If they tried to separate us either one of us would pass away, both of us could pass away, or we would never leave the hospital from needing so many transplants or other medical procedures to stay alive."

Per The Mirror, Carmen and Lupita are They are omphalopagus twins - meaning they each have their own heart, a set of arms, a set of lungs, and a stomach.

However, they also share a liver, their circulatory system, and some ribs, as well as their digestive and reproductive systems.

One thing the twins wanted people to know about them was: "We are two separate people and we are capable of whatever we want. That's pretty much it!"

The twins have featured in several television shows on their incredible life, including Channel 4's Two Sisters, One Body.
