A pregnant mom burst into tears after finding out that she was having another girl - after being convinced she would have a boy.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Kendra Evens opened up about what it was like to find out that she would be having another girl after giving birth to three already.

"When I got pregnant with my fourth baby, I knew it was my last and after already having three amazing daughters, it was only natural that I, of course, wanted a boy," she told the outlet. "On top of that, all three of my pregnancies with my daughters were all the exact same, but with this last pregnancy everything was so different so in my head I swore it was a boy."

Well, Kendra's disappointment was recorded and posted to TikTok where she received a barrage of backlash for her reaction. The one-minute clip showed Kendra and her family standing in the woods with a pumpkin that had colored smoke coming out of it in front of them.

The family of then-five watched the Jack-O-Lantern in front of them as the white smoke suddenly turned pink. Immediately Kendra covered her face with her hands and started crying.

"We get a girl?", one of her daughters yelled as Evens doubled over, clearly overwhelmed with sadness. "What? Why do we have to get a girl?"

Someone behind the camera then shouts: "Girl gang all day," to which Evens continues to cry while her husband rubs her back to comfort her.

Have a look at the clip below:

"Going into the gender reveal, I was hesitant on doing anything because I didn't want to be disappointed in front of people if it wasn't a boy, but then I was reminded it was my last pregnancy and I didn't want to have any regrets," the mom of four continued, recalling her feelings at the time of the revelation.

She revealed that she "couldn't help but cry" after being hit by all of the emotions immediately, struggling to control her emotions due to being pregnant. Evens added: "And all of these thoughts came flooding, thoughts that I'll never have a son, never be able to experience what it's like to have a mother-son bond, to have a 'mama's boy,' or anything like that."

She also defended the reaction of her eldest daughter, who really wanted to have a little brother.

"My oldest daughter in the video clearly didn't mask her initial disappointment, ever since her first sibling she always wanted a brother," she said before adding: "Gender disappointment is real, both for mom and/or dad. Our feelings are valid as humans and gender disappointment should be more normalized. You don't know anyone's situation or feelings, and just because somebody is initially disappointed doesn't mean baby is not loved."

And it seemed as though other moms also agreed with the stance, taking to the comments of the original TikTok video to recall their own experiences.

"[I] had gender disappointment with my 3rd boy when I found out. But he is my everything and that feeling went away," wrote one user.

"Same but with four boys," another added. "I [feel] you 100000% and its so valid! My fourth and last is 1.5 and I still get upset over missing out on a daughter."

"Preggo with girl #5. You’re right, it’s real but we always get through it and become content and happy with the gender," a third said.

Others also urged the mom to be grateful.

"It’s hard not to have that feeling of judgement towards this when so many women, myself included, struggle to have just one child," wrote one user, to which Kendra replied: "& I'm so sorry your struggling with that!!! Lots of baby dust your way."

Another also stated: "As a hospice nurse. Believe me when I tell you, odds are you and hubby will be well taken care of in old age. Daughters step up way more than sons do."

Kendra has well and truly cemented her girl gang!
