Expert warns about ‘strongest drug ever’ that is 100x stronger than fentanyl - and a tiny amount can kill
Drugs experts have sounded a warning about a massively dangerous drug that is on the rise, is 100 times stronger than fentanyl, and an amount the size of a grain of sand can be lethal.
Sadly, it is getting into the hands of users in the USA, and people are already dying.
The ‘world’s strongest drug’ is already on the streets
The drug itself is 10,000 times more potent than morphine and 100 times stronger than fentanyl, which is already causing serious problems on the streets of the USA.
It’s called carfentanil - or Wildnil - and it is a synthetic opioid first created in 1974.
It’s so strong that a very tiny amount can be enough to kill a human being, and - sadly - it already has been.
Created by Janssen Pharmaceutica, it is totally illegal for human consumption and was original intended to take down large animals such as elephants, rhinos and bears.
Of course, these things have a way of finding their way out of their original use, and carfentanil was first discovered on the streets in 2016, often found in fake pills, heroin, cocaine or fentanyl to boost the potency.
However, the main issue is that even a ridiculously small amount can be fatal, as drug expert and pharmacist Grant Harting explained in a recent TikTok video.
Drug experts warn that even a tiny amount of carfentanil kills
The online educator said: “The strongest drug ever made is so potent that the amount that can fit on the tip of a pencil can be fatal to humans.
“Opioids are medications that can be used to treat severe pain.
“But medications in this class are not without their risks,
“They carry hefty side effects like respitatory depression, which is where your body basically forgets how to breathe, and that can be fatal.
“Additionally it creates a sense of euphoria which can be habit forming.”
He continued: “Carfentanil is widely regarded as the strongest drug, 100 times stronger than fentanyl and 10,000 times stronger than morphine.
“It is so strong it is completely useless in humans.
“It used to be used as a large animal transquilizer for things like elephants, but the DEA reports that carfentanil is indeed being used by humans.
“Carfentanil deaths increased from 29 in the first half of 2023 to 238 in the first half of 2024.
“Very dangerous, way too potent, two thumbs down from me.”
There you have it.
It can even kill those who are not taking it
The drug is so powerful that it also poses a risk to those who want to help, as even skin contact or airborne powder can put people in danger.
If the emergency services aren’t called straight away in the event of an overdose, and several doses of naloxone (narcan) aren't administered, things are looking bleak.
The simple answer to all of this is not to do drugs - and definitely not anything that could contain this horrific substance.
