An Idaho teenager has spoken out about the agonizing moment she was left dangling from a power line by her broken leg following a devastating car crash.

On May 22, 2021, a then-16-year-old Kennedy Littledike had been on a drive with two friends as a way to distract her as she struggled after a recent breakup.

However, while on a mountain drive a short distance from her home, Littledike - who was crying behind the wheel - suddenly swerved to the side of the road and collided with a telephone pole.

In a recent interview with Inside Edition, she admits that she should have pulled over after becoming emotional while driving, but says everything “happened so quickly”.

After striking the pole, the vehicle flipped and rolled - throwing Littledike and her two friends from the car.

In an unthinkable and horrendous circumstance, Littledike landed 30 feet in the air and dangling from a power line.

The impact with the cable snapped her femur, and the crash also caused her arm to be “torn off”, held on only by “the skin on her back”.

In a scene from a horror movie, the teen revealed how her own snapped leg was left dangling in front of her own face.

And although the collision sounds fatal - it was actually Littledike’s unlikely landing that saved her life, as she explained: “A lot of people ask, ‘How did you not bleed out?’ Well, the main artery in my leg was pinched off by the power line, and then the main artery in my arm was actually cauterized when I got electrocuted.”

Littledike spent an hour dangling from the cable as she waited to be rescued.

“I remember I was drowning in my blood because it was running from my leg, it was running from my arm, and it was going in my nose, and I was just wiping it out because it was literally drowning me,” the teen - now 19 years old - recalled.

While feeling “helpless” on the cable, she envisioned receiving a FaceTime call from God – but reality soon set in when rescuers arrived at the scene.

“They put the tourniquet on and had to take my bone back off the wire,” she recalled. “And they said I screamed. And then, once I hit the stretcher, it was silent.”

Unable to remember if she spoke out loud, Littledike just wanted to tell the firefighters: “Thank you for trying to save my life, but this is it for me,” as she closed her eyes.

The teen’s list of injuries included a broken femur, a broken humerus bone, a broken clavicle, and a brachial plexus injury.

She endured a further 21 surgeries as doctors were forced to amputate her leg FIVE different times.

“They tried taking it at my knee, through my knee. My leg just kept rotting because the bone was broken so high up,” she told Inside Edition. “Every other day, they were going in and taking more leg.

“And to go under surgery, over and over and over, to get more and more leg cut off. They’d finally just cut it off at the bone.”

Following the crash three years ago, Littledike has become a public speaker on social media, amassing more than 390,000 followers on TikTok.

Admitted that she used to consider ending her own life following the accident, she now admits she is happier than she ever was, as she is driven to help others overcome their own hardships.
