Earlier this year, a 43-year-old mother by the name of Joleen Diaz went viral on social media due to her incredibly youthful looks.

Joleen was propelled into the spotlight after 19-year-old daughter Meilani Parks shared a picture of them posing together in Hawaii.

But after discovering that Meilani was, in fact, posing next to her mom, her comments section was flooded with people saying that Joleen - who is 43, remember - could pass as her teenage daughter's twin.

Now, Joleen has revealed how she looks so youthful in her 40s and what it was like people propelled into the public eye and dubbed the "Hottest Mom in the World".

Speaking to Fox News, the Bay Area mom revealed that she has been taking care of herself "from such a young age."

However, the elementary school teacher believes it is never too late to start your wellness journey, and says she wants to use her newfound platform to "inspire people to live a healthy life and make healthy choices."

Yes, despite being the parent, Joleen actually as 3,000 more Instagram followers than her 19-year-old daughter - with Meilani boasting an impressive 236,000 fans, just shy of Joleen's 239,000.

Diaz also revealed that she maintains a whole-food-focused diet - stating that she doesn’t eat red meat or pork and sticks mainly to fish and eggs.

And her exercise routine is just as strict, with the mom somehow finding time to workout five to six days a week. However, she says that the secret to achieving this is just to keep them "super basic" just to guarantee that she does do them. She says:

"I do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength training and I just kind of change that up. And about 20 minutes of stretching."

As for her skincare routine, Diaz explains she "notices the most change" when she uses the exfoliate AHA glycolic acid combined with a retinol serum she started using in her 30s.

The mom explained: "I’ve noticed the texture of my skin get really fresh and kind of plump.

"In the last year, year and a half, I’ve been using tretinoin, and that I’m noticed my pores really tighten and my fine lines on my face really fade."

And despite not having many vices - admitting that she doesn't smoke and very rarely drinks - Diaz did reveal one guilty pleasure: "I do have a weakness. I love sugar.

"Every day I have to have a piece of cake or cookies or something, but just in like a small portion. I do love sweets. I do indulge every day or else it’s just... life’s not fun."

But most importantly, the stunning mom revealed that the secret to looking great is just getting out of bed and remaining consistent:

"Most days I’d rather stay home and take a nap, but I get up and go to the gym. I think everything is about consistency."

When we look at celebs like Jennifer Lopez or George Clooney, we only lament the fact that they only seem to get better-looking with age for a second. Because we know that they're super rich and famous, which means they have the means to pay for nutritionists and skin-care advisors who hook them up with magical elixirs made from exotic ingredients we've never even heard of. Not to mention that their careers consist of huge audiences looking at them all the time, so self-grooming and keeping up appearances is kind of a job requirement.

We all think, "eh, I don't have the time and money to do all that", so will excuse ourselves when the inevitable grey hairs start to show up and the dad bods begin to emerge (and so what, it's only natural!?). However, the occasional person comes along who, despite being a mere mortal like the rest of us, has somehow managed to avoid the effects of ageing.

I mean, it's good for us all to wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water and exercise regularly for our general well-being - as well as to fend off the signs of ageing - but it's never going to obscure the fact that we are normal human beings who do indeed grow older as the years press on. But for some people, it actually does...

Like this mother, who recently captivated the attention of the internet due to the fact that she looks the same age as her daughter. I love you". It's pretty cute, and they do look very glam standing together.

Everybody wants to look younger, but as time goes on, you give in to the ravages of age. The hair turns gray, the weight piles on, the wrinkles multiply. However, one family in Taiwan may have discovered the fountain of youth (or just have really good genetics). They are the youngest looking family ever - so much so that the local media has nicknamed them 'the family frozen in time.' Get ready to feel, as the kids say, old af. Pictured above is interior designer and fashion blogger Lure Hsu, who is 41 years old. Yes, you read that right. After sharing her stunning photos on social media, she caught a lot of attention, and her followers soon realized her entire family looks incredibly young. In the above photo, Lure is on the left, and her mother, 63, is in the middle. She's a retired dancer, and all those moves must have kept her in shape, considering she doesn't look a day over 40. Lure's sister, Sharon, 36, is on the right. Well, if you want to age like the 'family frozen in time,' I've got good news. Lure revealed the secret to her family's youthful good looks in an interview with Taiwan's Friday magazine. (Drumroll, please.) It's all because...of a mysterious substance called 'water.' No, really. She says water is the key, because it naturally moisturizes the skin: "Once your skin has enough water, you don’t even need to worry about aging and wrinkles." Her sister, Fay-Fay ,agrees.
