A new mom has taken given birth to a whole new level - by welcoming her baby in an elevator.

Déborah Bittar, from Anápolis, Brazil, was at home with her husband last month when she suddenly went into labor. But when the couple attempted to leave for the hospital, they only made it as far as their elevator when their second child decided it was time to be welcomed into the world.

Thankfully, Bittar's husband - Dr. Danilo Almeida - is an OB/GYN who was able to help his wife with their baby's arrival.

What's more, the entire moment was captured by the building's security cameras!

Now, the couple has taken to Instagram to share the incredible moment baby Julia entered the world before they would even get out of the building.

Check out the incredible footage in the video below:

The footage shows the moment Almeida realized that his daughter was not going to wait - causing him to drop his wife's hospital bags on the floor and assist.

Dad Almeida captioned the post (translated): "Childbirth is a natural, physiological, and unpredictable event, that makes it incredible! [...] Julia's birth happened very quickly and unusual way, but it's important to understand that women know how to GIVE BIRTH and babies know how to BE BORN at their exact time!"

The doctor stressed: "I am not advocating for unattended births, and I believe that safety of birth is a priority, but there are totally unpredictable situations." (And if anybody should know, it's this couple.)

Despite the unpredictable nature of their daughter's birth, the father continues: "As much as we had planned another scenario for her arrival, the atmosphere in that elevator was very peaceful and peaceful, we were witnessing the birth of our daughter!"

Déborah went on to shower Bittar with praise for how amazingly she handled the situation, and described the birth as "beautiful", "quick", and "exciting".

Per The Mirror, Bittar later revealed that she was eight centimeters dilated by the time they left their apartment.

In the footage, after baby Julia has surprised her parents, the OB/GYN can then be seen handing their newborn daughter over to Bittar while he cuts the umbilical cord. Mom Déborah can then be seen cradling her daughter in her arms.

Déborah later said that of all the births he has witnessed, this one took him by surprise.

Congratulations to the family!
