A man who is dating the "most identical twins on the planet" has expressed his dissatisfaction at not being able to marry both of them.

The sisters have also opened up about their hopes to one day get pregnant at the same time.

For some people, finding love can be really tricky and it can take years for the right person to come along, whereas for others it would seem that two people can appear at once.

This is the situation for Ben Byrne as he is engaged to Anna and Lucy DeCinque, who have been dubbed "the most identical twins on the planet".

In a recent episode of TLC's hit show Extreme Sisters, the duo opened up about their extraordinary connection. "We just think we’re one person," the twins revealed, shedding light on the depth of their unique relationship.

Anna and Lucy have taken their identical status to a whole new level. They wear matching outfits, follow identical diets, and have even undergone the same plastic surgery procedures to minimize any subtle differences.

Their love story with Ben began over a decade ago when the twins connected with him on Facebook. Ben, who himself is a twin, engaged in conversations with both sisters individually for about six months before posing that they date each other collectively.

"Sharing a boyfriend for us means we get to be together all the time," Anna shared on the show. "Having separate boyfriends just didn’t work, they just wanted to separate us," Lucy added.

"There’s no jealousy in this relationship. If Ben kisses Anna, he’ll kiss me straight after," Lucy explained, underlining the depth of understanding between them.

Ben, who now resides with the twins and their mother in Perth, has embraced his role as the shared partner.

The sisters' candidness extended to discussing their intimate life, with Lucy revealing: "Ben in his own way will please both of us. If Ben does something to one twin in the bedroom, he has to do it to the other."

There's one significant hurdle that stands in their way when it comes to marriage, however – Australia's polygamy laws. Despite their engagement in 2021, Anna, Lucy, and Ben are unable to formalize their union due to legal restrictions, which Ben states is "totally unfair".

In an interview with ITV's This Morning, the twins revealed their aspiration to experience yet another milestone together – motherhood. "We want to experience everything together. We can’t live without each other," they explained.

The sisters even expressed a desire to get pregnant simultaneously, sharing their unique perspective on parenting. "As long as the child is happy and healthy, that’s all that matters," they emphasized. "We’ll both be the mums, Ben would be the dad, so they would have two mums and one father."

Here's hoping the trio manages to figure out a way to get the marriage they are after!
