A man anointed as the "black alien" has revealed that his appearance has caused people literally flee when they see him in public.
Anthony Loffredo, a 32-year-old from France, has undergone many body modifications, such as removing his fingers, upper lip, eyeballs, and part of his nose to enhance an extraterrestrial look.
Loffredo is heavily tattooed, has a split tongue to replicate a snake-like figure, and has reptilian-style implants all over his head and arms.
On his Instagram account, Loffredo opened up to his 1.2 million followers about the price he pays because of his looks and the day-to-day scrutiny he faces.
"I don’t like playing with people, but it’s interesting how people react. I’m human, there [are] people who think I’m just crazy," he said on the Spanish podcast Club 113.
"There [are] people, who when they see me, shout and run and many things," he continued.
On his social media, Anthony has shared a video of him walking through crowded streets to document their reactions to his appearance. He's even shared footage of an older lady reacting to him.
Yet, despite the plastic surgery aficionado stating that he doesn’t care what others think about him, he understands that his lifestyle makes people uncomfortable, so he has adjusted it to avoid that.
"I think it’s dangerous to not try to do that," he continued. "At night when I go past people in the street, I move to the other side."
"When I cross with people, like old people, I change sides in the street, also with kids I’m careful. I know it can be a shock," he added.
The so-called Black Alien also admitted that his extreme appearance has affected his relationship with some family members, causing them to break down.
However, he said that only his mum, brother, and sister support his radical transition. But, he added that despite family support, he has a few regrets about the risks of his modifications.
"Yeah, I play with my health. I usually treat my own body really hard. But I still think and say to myself, people can die of anything like you could be run over by a car, you could have a stroke," he said. "So you know life, it’s just luck."
According to the New York Post, in 2017, Loffredo revealed to the French paper Midi Libre why he chose to transform his looks, saying: "From a very young age, I have been passionate about mutations and transformations of the human body."
"I had a click when I was a security guard. I realized that I was not living my life the way I wanted. I stopped everything at 24 and left for Australia," he told the outlet.
"I love getting into the shoes of a scary character. I often settle down somewhere and play a role, especially at night in the dark streets… I explore the contrast between the role I play and myself," Loffredo added.
