Man shaves 'NHS' into his head to show support for our carers

The United Kingdom, like a number of countries around the world, is currently on lockdown due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

When the lockdown was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on March 23, it was noted that the main factor which motivated this decision was that the UK's National Health Service (NHS) would be unable to cope with the crisis if too many people were to fall seriously ill at one time. Therefore, the people of Britain were urged to protect the NHS by practicing social distancing and self-isolation.

Please do familiarize yourself with the symptoms of this deadly disease:

Staff in NHS facilities have been working incredibly hard to help in the battle against the deadly virus. And people across the country have been paying tribute to healthcare workers for saving lives amid the pandemic. For instance, many took part in the 'Clap for our carers' movement which saw people recording themselves giving medical workers a round of applause.

One man, however, decided to show his gratitude to the NHS in a rather different way.

This is the moment a man had 'NHS' shaved into his head to show his support for our carers amid the pandemic:

Ben Richards, 28, had the letters 'NHS' shaved into his head to show his support for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the coronavirus battle. His girlfriend Isabella Stadden, 25, posted the process of Ben's makeover on Facebook.

Stadden wrote in the caption:

"So Ben Richards braved the shave to show support for the NHS with his sick new hair cut! Thanks for looking after our loved ones back at home! #nhs #covid-19 #poukawacuts #unsungheroes."

We are urging all of our readers to adhere to the advice from their respective governments and medical bodies, and practice social distancing and self-isolation where required. Together, we will beat this...
