David Beckham is channeling his iconic 00's look while he stays inside to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
The English former professional football player took to Instagram yesterday to debut his newly shaved head, as he becomes the latest to pick up the clippers to quell boredom while self-isolating.
The black and white photo shows the 44-year-old looking towards the camera with a slight smile, showing off his newly shaved 'do. He captioned the post: "Just had to be done #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong GOODNIGHT."
Many will remember the look from the Noughties, when Beckham sported a shaved head as he played for Manchester United at the height of his fame.
And the new hairstyle was praised by his 62.1 million Instagram followers, with celebrity hairstylist Ken Pavés saying that Beckham did a great job. "No body wears it better!!! You could teach me a thing or two! [sic]" he wrote.
"Damnnnn my hairs so crazy right now i might have to bring back the shaved head too!’, former American soccer player, Bryan Jordan, added, suggesting he could follow in Beckham's footsteps.
At the time of writing, the photo has received over 1.6 million likes.
David Beckham apparently had a big influence on Brooklyn's first tattoo:The Beckham family recently got involved with the "clap for carers" movement, with Beckham taking to Instagram to share a video of himself and three of his children, Cruz, Romeo and Harper, applauding "the brave healthcare workers and our brilliant NHS".
"Happy to be able to come together with the whole country to thank the brave healthcare workers and our brilliant NHS working tirelessly in the fight against COVID-19," he captioned the video.
David, Victoria, Cruz, Romeo, and Harper are reportedly isolating at their family home in the Cotswolds as the UK continues to enforce social distancing measures. Their eldest son, Brooklyn, is currently in America with his model girlfriend, Nicola Peltz.
