A mom has recently sparked a debate online after urging her husband to pick her life over her unborn baby's if there are any complications while she's giving birth.
Posting to TikTok, Ana Morales, also known by her handle @anabelmoralezz shared with her 17,000+ followers a message that she was directing at her husband.
The six-second clip showed the husband-and-wife duo in hospital, with Ana laying on the bed with a medical gown and mask on while her husband sat beside her in a chair.
The text overlay read: "To my husband: If I’m giving birth, and the doctor says you need to pick between me or the baby. Please save me. I don’t want [their son] Ethan to grow up without a mom, and I don’t want you to have to raise two babies alone while also grieving your wife."
Of course, the video, which has been viewed over six million times, immediately garnered a lot of attention with thousands taking to the comments to give their opinion on the matter.
"My hubby has always said 'we can have another baby but our kids who are already on earth can’t replace you,'" commented one user, while another claimed a similar response from their husband too: "My husband said 'if I had to pick between you and our baby I’d pick you bc we can have another baby but I can’t have another you.'"

"I’ve never looked at it this way," another user wrote. "I’m lost for words..."
"As much as it would hurt [you're] 100% right."
And this user related to the mom-of-one writing: "I had these feelings during my third pregnancy and felt so guilty. I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels this way."

However, a lot of other TikTok users seemed to strongly disagree with the stance.
"Choose our child before me... Every time... I’ve lived my life their life has just begun," this user said, giving the other side.
"I don’t judge you but I could never," admitted another.
"I'm not a mother yet, but I have always said if It was up to me save my child not me....is that bad," asked another TikToker.
And this person said that while they understood where the mom was coming from, the decision would ultimately lie with her husband: "I understand this, but idk I think I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did this. I’d honestly leave the choice up to my husband and I would."

It is an incredibly difficult choice but thankfully, both Ana and her baby were fine during the birthing process and she is preparing for her little one to turn two later this year!
