There are certain tastes and smells that can transport you back to your childhood. The smell of chlorine reminds me of my first trip to Disney, the smell of antiseptic reminds me of the time I pierced my ears, and I drink Fireball Whiskey because it reminds me of those Fireball sweets from when I was a kid.

However, for some people, parma violets were the best confectionary of their youth. I personally can't stand them - they literally taste like the soap my mom would buy from the Avon lady - but for some reason, there are a collective of people out there that will go crazy for anything parma violet-flavored.

Case in point, Liverpool-based brand Lambrini has now revealed their new Parma Violet-flavoured perry - which I am sure is going to be the drink of the summer for drinkers who don't enjoy the taste of alcohol.

If you're unfamiliar with Lambrini, then you clearly never spent your underage teenage years sat behind the bushes of the local park listening to Basement Jaxx from your mate's Sony Ericsson, while swigging a bottle that your girlfriend swiped from her step-dad.

But I digress; Lambrini is a light and fruity perry that is best enjoyed before you hit the age of 18.

The tipple is currently being sold exclusively at Morrisons, and is available in 185 stores across the UK. With a 5% ABV and carrying the princely sum of £2.50 for a 75cl bottle (you can see why it was so popular amongst youngsters), there's no doubt this will make a delightful addition to a summer cocktail.

The company describes its new flavour as "a nod to the 90s with a favourite old school flavour", the Metro reports.

But if parma violets aren't your thing (and I'm guessing it won't be for 95% of you reading this), you'll be pleased to learn that Echo Falls (another teenage staple) is releasing a new rum-infused wine that tastes of coconut and pineapple!
