Now, I'm sure any dog owner out there will admit to having a camera roll full of pics of their furry best friend on their cell phone. Genuinely, I think I've got more photos of my dog than my own son.
However, one pet owner's photo went viral on X after leaving people perplexed.
Arthur Gubert's snap of a seemingly headless dog caused us all to do a cartoon-like double-take.
Taking to the social media platform, Gubert posted a clip of a pooch (it's not known if the dog is Gubert's) in the yard - and upon first glance, it's understandable that some people may be horrified.
You see, while his dog is likely very cute, users were more concerned as to exactly where its head was - given that there was a nasty-looking scar where its head should surely be.

All was explained in the post's caption, however, as Arthur explained (translated from Spanish): "This is what a dog with three legs looks like licking its tail. Now you've seen it all."
The image understandably went viral and was shared on a number of websites and social media platforms, including Reddit. Naturally, users were fascinated with the image and couldn't help but comment.
"Someone please tell me what is going on on this picture share so much so it gets somewhere until we get answers holy crap," one person commented.
A second added: "My brain both understands and cannot stop having a deep, deep sense of concern."
A third wrote: "I can totally see how this perspective would be confusing. Either they are turned away from the camera looking at something behind them, or they are chewing their left hindquarters."
Fortunately, some people were quick to share images to help those still struggling to comprehend the photo - such as this charming sketch:

So, be honest -- Were you fooled by the photo?
