There aren't many people that are open enough about their sexuality and love life to speak about it candidly - even with a close friend. So it comes as some surprise that model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne opened up in a very NSFW way about all of the above - in a podcast interview.
The 26-year-old spoke about boyfriends, girlfriends, her sexuality, past relationships, and what her love life looks like today. Delevingne, who is currently dating Pretty Little Liars actress Ashley Benson, was on RuPaul's podcast 'What's the Tee?', where she revealed that she finds it much easier "give" pleasure (in all its forms) than to receive it.
"I'm very good at giving love and not at receiving it. I'm the same in bed," she said. "I find it quite difficult to receive pleasure and love and things like that, so I love to give."
In the interview she spoke on her different experiences with both men and women, and how she views her sexuality today. That includes not only her orientation, but her habits too - which have changed over the years.
"I used to go to clubs but I'd rather have sex than go out now," she told the host, before getting into her thoughts on sex in general:
"Part of sex - that connection - is feral. You meet someone but when you go in the bedroom, it's another animal.
"To me, that is so interesting. There are certain people who are super-sexy and they flirt with you, then you have sex with them and they are terrible. But I like people who seem really prudish then, when they get in the bedroom, they're like, 'What?!' It's like a whole transformation."
Delevingne has had a lot of exes in the entertainment business, including Harry Styles and Jake Bugg, and was rumoured to have been romantically linked to Michelle Rodriguez, Paris Jackson and Rita Ora. Her longest high-profile relationship was with Annie Clark, known by her stage name as St. Vincent, which ended in 2016.
She has been dating Benson for just shy of a year, with rumours first circulating in May last year.
With regards to her orientation, she previously told PEOPLE that she changed her mind "all the time," but has since identified as "sexually fluid".
"I can allow pleasure but it's hard to find that person. I have found them before, for sure. That whole courting process of power is very interesting. And it's a different with men and women.
"I'm always very submissive with men. Always. But with women, I'm the opposite. So it's weird."
According to the actress, much of her sexuality was learned from the movies she watched - with Disney films giving her some important lessons along the way, even some she had to un-learn.
"Films and fantasy and books were so incredible to me and I learned so many lessons from that," she said. "That was why I never wanted to accept my sexuality. Disney princesses all love men and that's the way it is. And I'm not going to be a princess if I don't like men."
Delevingne will also be appearing on an episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, which airs this week.
