It is never nice to discover that your partner is cheating on you. Whether you discover the truth from a trusted friend or a picture on social media, the news is never easy to swallow. However, imagine finding out that your significant other is having an affair from a Fitbit.

Well, that's exactly what happened to American NFL correspondent Jane Slater, who left her 120,000+ Twitter followers stunned by revealing that she discovered her ex-boyfriend's cheating ways after noticing an unexpected spike in his Fitbit activity in the early hours of the day. Clearly, her sneaky fella had forgotten that the couple had synced up their devices as a means of motivating each other to stay fit

When joining in the conversation surrounding the controversial Peloton commercial, Jane revealed that she noticed her ex-boyfriend's Fitbit was registering a sudden spike of physical activity at 4:00AM.

Slater tweeted:

"An Ex Boyfriend once got me a Fitbit for Christmas. I loved it. We synched up, motivated each other... didn’t hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app ... wish the story wasn’t real."

Funnily enough, since sharing her story, Jane revealed that another of her exes had been receiving enquires about whether or not he was the 'Fitbit Cheater', to which, Jane gladly shut down:

She wrote: "Disclaimer: I feel the need to defend the honor of my ex boyfriend in Austin. He’s received a number of group text inquiries [...] he is not the man I reference in the tweet below. In fact, Austin Bf was one of the best boyfriends I ever had. Our issue was timing not cheating. [sic]"

After hearing about Jane's philandering ex, one Twitter user simply wrote: "Ladies, this year get y’all man a Fitbit!"
