A couple with a 37-year age gap are looking to start a family, the pair revealed in a new interview.

Quran McCain, 25, and Cheryl McGregor, 62, tied the knot back in September 2021, after having established quite the following on their TikTok account, where they do fun dances and lip-syncing trends and answer questions about their relationship.

However, their rise to online fame hasn't been without its trials and tribulations as the couple are often on the receiving end of hate comments.

But more than a year into their marriage, the two appear to be going strong as they have repeatedly told their followers that they would like to have kids together.

Speaking via live video link this week, they told the hosts of UK breakfast show This Morning that they are ready to take the next step in their relationship.

Check out what they had to say:

Cheryl said on the show: "They said I guess just because of my age I can't take care of a baby, what? I have got more energy than half of these kids that are taking care of babies now and I don't see it as a problem."

The TikTok star went on to confirm that she would be unable to conceive due to her age which is why she and Quran want to go down the surrogacy route.

She said: "No I can not have a baby myself but we have done the surrogacy thing where we already had three surrogates and right now we are looking for another one and also maybe adoption."

The spouses, who have four million followers on TikTok, also revealed that their respective families are reluctant to accept their relationship.

Cheryl said: "It's been a battle with them, us trying to prove to them that it wasn’t a joke. Out of my seven children they were saying he was using me, we weren't using each other, we can't help who our hearts fall in love with.

"So it's been a battle, out of seven of my children I really have two but one who really stands by us through everything and it took a while to come to that conclusion that they like him."

When they were asked by one of the hosts on This Morning about their response to the critics, Quran answered: "We are just going to keep living our lives because we are happy, we are very much happy, this is a happy healthy marriage, we are looking to start our family and that's all we got."

Agreeing with her husband, Cheryl added: "Absolutely, it's us against the world."

The husband and wife first met in 2012 as co-workers at the fast food chain Dairy Queen when Quran was just 15 years old.

Their romance didn't start until much later and they ended up losing contact over the years, reconnecting in 2020 when Quran saw his future bride working at a convenience store.

The got married the following year after Quran proposed on a livestream for the viewing pleasure of 20,000 followers.
