Here's a question for you: how do you have sex with a ghost? Odd one, isn't it? Not something you often think about. However, every now and then, in the depths of the night, it slips into your mind, doesn't it? "If there was a ghost in my room right now," you think, "I would 100 per cent bang it right now. Absolutely... But how?"
While this may sound like an uncommon occurrence for most of us, for some people, it's their reality. The majority of people would run away from a ghost if they were to come across one, but Amethyst Realm, well, she does something quite different.
Rather than run away, Amethyst runs towards ghosts and, once she is there, she lies them down, straddles them and gets to work having intercourse with them. Don't believe me? She's here to explain it for us.
Amethyst, who is from the UK, claims to have met her boyfriend during a trip to Australia. However, while you may think he would be you typical bronzed surfer-bae, Amethyst actually landed herself a "very ancient, very wise" ghost.
After six months of dating - where do you take a ghost on a date? The graveyard? - they are now in a serious relationship and even joined the Mile High Club on a flight home.
Giving a little insight into her mysterious lover on This Morning, Amethyst said: "I refer to it as him, because that’s easier. He’s very ancient, very wise, very kind. I would say [he has been on the planet] for a very long time."
According to Amethyst, her beyond-the-grave bae approached her while she was out walking in the Australian bush. She describes him as an "emotional, physical presence," rather than something that you can see.
Amethyst says that while she has had ghost-sex in the past, she knew that this old chap was different and confirmed that he is "the one".
But, while the honeymoon period in physical relationships usually means staying up all night chatting, because Amethyst's boyfriend is essentially dead, he doesn't have much to say for himself.
"It’s difficult to explain in terms of normal, earthbound relationships. It’s a bit deeper than that, we don’t have a need for conversation.
"We’re just about emotion and feeling, and connection."
Despite the fact that they don't talk to one another, the couple is hoping to start a family. Amethyst says that she would like a "physical baby" with the ghost - something that is scientifically impossible - but is happy to settle for a "phantom baby" instead.
"I’ve been looking into phantom pregnancies, and I believe that a phantom pregnancy is actually a real pregnancy but you have a phantom inside you rather than a human baby.
"And the reason we don’t ever manage to carry these to full term is the people that have this don’t understand this or even comprehend that it’s possible.
"But I’m hoping through understanding what’s going on with my body, I’ll be able to."
The pair has endured their sticky patches, with Amethyst flight home being a real obstacle for them to get over. However, ghosts, unlike people, do not have to go through passport control, so Amethyst's spirit spouse was able to board the plane with no issues.
"Yeah, I was really sad because, in my experience, spirits tend to be a bit static. So I thought I had to leave it behind.
"And whilst I was on the plane, I suddenly realised. It surprised me and, yeah, come with me."
What a time to be alive, hey?
