A video showing an entire plane full of passengers singing the hit children's song 'Baby Shark' to a crying child has racked up over 8 million views.

Parikshit Balochi, who posted the sweet clip, had been traveling from his home in Dubai for a short backpacking trip in Albania earlier this month.

The flight, which was five hours long, was clearly distressing for the child sat next to him on the plane.

So distressing was it that Balochi said the little one, who looked about four years old, began crying. In fact, he had been "crying nonstop".

He recalled in an interview with Insider how a person behind them began discreetly singing the words to 'Baby Shark'.

Wanting to comfort the youngster, Balochi followed suit.

Check out the heartwarming moment an entire plan sings 'Baby Shark' to calm down a crying child:

"First individually people sitting around him tried distracting him, but when nothing worked out a group of guys, including me, started singing 'Baby Shark' and more people joined in," he explained.

The camera then pans across the plane, showing pretty much everyone onboard singing and clapping along to the viral children's song.

Then a man, presumably the little boy's father, is seen standing in the aisle holding the boy who appeared calmer due to the efforts of everyone on the flight.

“Crying baby on the plane?” the overlay text read. “No problem!”

The touching video has since accumulated more than 5,000 comments since it was posted less than two weeks ago.

One person wrote: "Really lovely to see this, unless you are a parent, won't know the struggle that parents do travelling by plane with their little kids."

Another added: "This is amazing. People normally just stare when little ones have meltdowns. We need more people like this!!!!!"

A third shared: "Taking my toddler on his first flight next month, lets hope everyone is as lovely as this."

Yet another commenter chimed in: "I wish this was my flight when my daughter wouldn't stop crying and people started with horrible comments."

Well, this has certainly melted our hearts. Nothing says team effort quite like an entire plane cheering up an inconsolable little boy!
