An influencer has been praised by her fans for the way she handled a group of men who were mocking her.
TikTok user Samantha Longton, a New Yorker who now lives in Florida, took to her account last week to share a video talking about how she had been ridiculed by a number of men while posing in a swimming pool for a photoshoot.
In her video, Longton says: "Trying to take a cute pic at the pool and I hear two men audibly making fun of me so..."
Take a look at Samantha's video on the incident here:It then shows her confronting her bullies, asking them if they'd like her to take their photo for them, adding: "Did you want to take one, too? I can take one for you if you’d like."
One of the men can then be heard replying "no" in an embarrassed voice before Longton then adds: "Maybe I could take a picture of you guys if you want a picture together? It’s really pretty. Do you have your phone?"
When the men sheepishly admitted that none of them had a phone, Longton simply smiled and stated: "Until next time then!"
The footage of the encounter was captioned: "I'm not a confrontational girl but sometimes men just..."
As Longton explained in a later follow-up video, "One made a face and whispered to his friend, 'Look at her... That is what's wrong with girls.'
"They stood next to the slide, faced me, and started laughing. I watched them shake their heads and start laughing."
However, Longton's response clearly resonated with other TikTok users who appreciated her sass, and her original post has since racked up over 9.8 million views, and 1.2 million likes at the time of writing.

Taking to the comments to praise her, one person wrote: "They always get much less brave once confronted."

A second added: "If he gave u his phone I would have dropped it in the pool."

Then a third chimed in: "Bestie I can feel your heart beat but sooo glad you did this [sic]"

While another added: "It's not even me and my heart is pounding for her!!!!! [sic]"

Another person then wrote: "Mam, you dropped this [...] Normalize putting men in their place!"

Finally, someone else added: "What pathetic manchildren make fun of a gorgeous person living their best life?? SAD. [sic]"
