A woman has taken to social media to share her "shortest date ever" after a man claimed he was marginalized for being straight.
Per Indy100, the woman posted a video on TikTok of herself in a restaurant while a man in the background can be heard stating that he was hard done by as a straight male.
The young woman can be seen smiling at the camera, before writing: "I'm going home."
She also added a caption to her post, which read: "Men can't live with them can live without them good thing I didn't waste time getting ready."
Her video clearly resonated with other TikTok users, many of whom agreed with her stance on her date's statements.
Indeed, the footage has racked up over 3.8 million views, and over 18,000 comments, at the time of writing.
For example, one person wrote: "He's gonna use this as an example of his marginalization just watch LMAO. [sic]"
Another wrote: "This man learned a new word and ran with it."
A third then added: "Proud of you for leaving right away, so many people stay because they feel obligated to."
While a fourth wrote: "That wasn't a red flag that was a whole state of emergency."
Meanwhile, this person wrote: "An underrated part of this is how he was already so bad that you started to film it and then he hand delivers that gem. Perfection."
Another agreed, stating: "I bet he felt marginalized when you left that date. Like... no. Sir, you feel entitled to your priviledge. Not marginalized."
This commenter then chimed in: "Thank you for not staying! People need to realize they do not have to stay if they don't want to, if it's uncomfortable if there's differences!"
Finally, this TikTok user said: "Men in the comments no understanding what an instant massive red flag this is lol. [sic]"
