A woman has taken to social media to reveal that she and her boyfriend of six years are actually biological siblings.
The anonymous woman took to Reddit's 'offmychest' forum to share that she and her boyfriend were both adopted when they were babies.
Describing their six-year relationship, the 32-year-old woman - who goes by the username 'LetsSinWith' on the platform - writes: "I've never met someone and felt immediate attraction and familiarity."
"We've done everything a couple that has been together for 6 years could do," she adds. "We've said we love each other, we've had sex, we've celebrated anniversaries, we've met each other's families. I'm just glad we both agreed early on that we don't want to have kids so that has never happened."
However, she then reveals that the couple recently decided to do a DNA ancestry test to find out about their own biological connections.
"I ordered two for us, we spit in the tube, and sent it out. It took like a month for the results to come back and I was excited to see what we were but before I could even get to that," she wrote.

Upon seeing the DNA results, the woman was shocked to find out that her boyfriend of six years is in fact her brother.
"Not my half brother. He is my full brother." she writes.
She adds that she hasn't told him about the startling revelation and is "hoping" it's a mistake on the DNA clinic's part.
However, she wrote that "things are kind of starting to make sense to [her] now" because long before the test, she would often get comments from other people about how her partner looked like her.
"We always just laughed it off but I have spent the morning looking at pictures of us together and realizing that we really do look so alike," she wrote.
"I don't know what I should do," she writes. "I still love my boyfriend/brother and we have been together for 6 years. We have a house together and a whole comfortable life. I'm hoping that this test is wrong and will do a real test soon but I'm panicking. I still see him as the love of my life."
Many readers were left stunned by the post and commented underneath it saying they were even surprised someone would admit to this.
One user wrote: "Dude I'm sorry but you have to break up ...it's gross"
Another user commented: "I personally couldn’t do it. First of all; I specifically don’t date people who look like me bc it’s gross when ppl ask 'is he your brother' when we b***d just this morning."

However, others wrote that the two should continue the relationship since they have an established relationship and not tell anyone about the DNA test.
One user said: "If you decide to stay together then don't tell anyone. Because unfortunately it is kind of weird and people would try to make you break up. So better keep it to yourself if you can live with it."
While another shared: "If you still love each other, stay together and take it to your grave."

Despite this life-changing news, the woman maintains that she still "loves" her boyfriend and has a "comfortable life" with him.
She concluded the post with "I'm hoping that this test is wrong and will do a real test soon but I'm panicking," and wrote that she still sees her boyfriend-hybrid-brother as the love of her life.
