One of the best things about the holiday season is being able to whip out your Christmas lights that have slowly been collecting dust over the last 11 months or so.

But do you know what isn't a festive tradition that really needs to become one? Christmas lights for your beard! Or your hair - whatever works.

Well, if you're interested in adorning your facial hair with bright, multi-colored lights then you'll be pleased to know that Amazon is selling "Beardments" - AKA light-up baubles for your beard.

This production description on Amazon reads: "What's that warm calming glow? It's a lighted beard, in a window, on a cold dark Christmas night!

"Beardaments Lights include 16 beard ornaments with 3 red lights, 3 green lights, and 3 red, 3 green, 2 silver, and 2 gold of our original best-selling beard ornaments."

It continues: "You have seen our basic beard bling, but now it's time to put Rudolph's nose to shame! Our Beardaments lights come with an On/Off switch and are the same size as our best-selling original beard ornaments."

It adds: "The battery is included inside each ornament, so no need for wiring to be running across your beard! These also work great in women's hair!

"The attached high-quality mini clips hold tight on most beard lengths. Lighten the way for the Three Wise Men this Christmas with the NEW Beardaments Lights."

The concept is innovative, to say the least! So, understandably you may be a little wary about getting your hands on a set.

But the product has gotten some pretty decent reviews so far.

In fact, a number of people have taken to the e-commerce site to rave about the festive beard lights, with one buyer writing: "I purchased these ornaments on a whim to help me share the holiday spirit. 10/10 would do again for value/humor/festivity."

They added: "The battery life on the light-up ornaments have been pretty solid, but I know they won't last the season (certainly at the rate I've been using them). If you need them for a few parties, events, etc., their lives should be sufficient."

Another gave the item a five-star review, writing: "Worked pretty well on my medium length beard. If it was longer, I'd have twisted the whiskers to lock into the clips more tightly, but all I had to do was borrow the wife's hairspray and they stuck in nicely.

"You can't headbang with em in, and you gotta watch toddlers if one falls off, but I had a good experience.

"Also, I didn't realize the white ones DO have green or red LEDs inside, but you have to pull a barely visible plastic tab to enable the battery connection. Definitely would buy again, and hope they come out with other colors for other holidays."
