A new sighting of "Bigfoot" has sparked intrigue across the internet as it has been dubbed the "most convincing footage" that people have seen.

We all love tales of creatures that may or may not be real, right?

Personally, I'm a sucker for a good story about the Loch Ness Monster and I will not rest until the beast has been confirmed in the depths of that famous Scottish lake.

Another creature that has the intrigue of many across the world is Bigfoot. The legendary Sasquatch has long been sought after across the U.S. and Canada, and we might finally have some concrete proof.

A clip is currently doing the rounds on social media and it was shot during a steam-engine train ride from Durango to Silverton as they cut through the San Juan National Forest.

Watch the incredible footage captured by @bt92.travels below:

A group of passengers suddenly spotted what they believed to be Bigfoot out of the window and quickly rushed to take a snapshot of the highly sought-after creature.

The footage is pretty striking, as it appears that the famous Sasquatch notices the train and attempts to duck down behind some bushes to disguise himself.

People were quick to offer their thoughts online, as one person said: "I'd say that's the most convincing footage I've ever seen. I can't say I believe in Bigfoot necessarily, however, I also haven't seen a wild mountain lion before so maybe they are just that good at hiding."

Others couldn't contain their excitement, as a second person said: "OH HELL YEAH," while a third shocked viewer said: "It's real!!!"

There were some natural skeptics who made some jokes regarding the footage, as one said: "The footage is too clear, the real Bigfoot has a low resolution."

A second added: "What's his hair routine. He got the silkiest locks," and a third concluded: "I just haven’t shaved in a hot minute… give me a break."

Settlers in North America have been talking about Bigfoot since the 1800s, as many have claimed to have spotted the hairy beast throughout the centuries.

The Patterson–Gimlin film in 1967 is arguably the most famous footage of the alleged Sasquatch, as he appears to be out for his morning stroll before walking off.

Either Bigfoot has an incredibly long lifespan or we are witnessing many generations of the family wandering around North America.

Or it might simply be a tale and not be real at all... but where's the fun in that?
