Hikers have supposedly spotted "10ft tall aliens" after a previous "sighting" sparked intrigue in Miami... Is this proof that aliens live amongst us?

We've only just entered 2024 and we've already got our first extra-terrestrial encounter if these eyewitnesses in Brazil are to be believed.

Hikers on a family day out in the South American country have stirred online intrigue after capturing video footage of two mysterious, elongated 10-foot-tall figures they claim are aliens.

Sara Dalete from Brasília recounted the bizarre encounter on the island of Ilha do Mel, where the figures were spotted on a hilltop that she deemed impossible to reach, per the Daily Mail.

The viral footage shared on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, shows the supposed aliens moving their arms rapidly while remaining stationary on the hilltop throughout the recording.

Despite the unsettling nature of the sighting, the government of Paraná State downplayed the incident, with a spokesperson stating: "Our summer is from another world. Even strange beings come here to enjoy our coastline."

As per Metro, some of the locals were not as convinced, joking that the figure could be soccer star Peter Crouch. (For those who need a bit of context, Peter Crouch is a former English soccer player who stands at 6 feet 7 inches tall).

In a parallel development in Miami, just days before this encounter, a similarly tall "shadow alien" was allegedly observed overseeing a mass brawl outside a shopping mall. The situation drew significant attention, prompting a heavy police presence in response to reports of a youth "riot."

UFO expert Nick Pope, however, remains skeptical about the extraterrestrial claims. He told the Metro: "This story – and the reaction to it – is truly bizarre. There's no credible evidence that anything UFO or alien-related happened, or that this was anything other than the police responding to reports of youths fighting."

Social media users on X also express skepticism regarding the extraterrestrial claims.

"When will anyone get close-up, high-def footage of aliens?? Probably a scarecrow," commented one person, while a second added: "They look like hikers with walking poles to me."

If this has sparked your interest in aliens, you might remember the "alien corpses" that were presented in Mexico last year.

Last September, Mexico's congress played host to a sensational revelation as journalist and UFO enthusiast Jaime Maussan presented what he described as "1,000-year-old corpses" that could be "non-human."

Maussan, addressing Mexican lawmakers, unveiled two caskets containing small, human-shaped figures supposedly discovered in a diatom mine in Cusco, Peru. Claiming these remains belonged to beings that perished around a millennium ago, he asserted: "It is the queen of all evidence."

Further tests conducted by José Zalce Benitez, the director of the Health Sciences Research Institute, furthered Maussan's claims. Benitez reported that the alleged aliens belong to a single skeleton, and human objects are not part of their design. One specimen, according to Benitez: "was alive, was intact, was biological, and was in gestation," suggesting a connection to eggs.

Maussan returned to the Mexican Congress, accompanied by local researchers, to reveal purported DNA testing results on the "corpses."

According to the Daily Star, he asserted that 30 percent of the DNA is "not from any known species," dubbing the beings "authentic extraterrestrial life."

If only we could get a good picture of alive aliens...
