A man who became Britain's oldest father after welcoming a baby at the age of 78 with his girlfriend, who was 25 at the time, has died.
Raymond Calvert became a dad for the seventh time in 2010 when his partner Charlotte - who was 54 years younger than him - gave birth to their son Jamie Rai.
According to reports from The Sun, Raymond died at the age of 91, leaving Charlotte, now 38, and their 12-year-old son "heartbroken".
Raymond died at the Royal Preston Hospital on December 1 last year after having suffered a fall, and his funeral was held four days before Christmas at Skipton Crematorium.
Raymond had made headlines after Jamie's birth, and told the publication at the time: "He's a gift from God , my very own little miracle."
The former market trader and shop owner addressed criticism from people who said it would be unfair on his son who'd have to spend much of his life without his father due to Raymond's advanced age at the time of his birth.
He told The Sun: "Yes, you get some plonkers who tell me, 'You'll never see him grow up'. But we've no regrets at all."
Raymond and Charlotte first got to know each other after he had initially been in a three-year relationship with her mother.
Although the pair's paths crossed on occasion, it wasn't until Charlotte struck up a friendship with Raymond's daughter Denise, who was 49 at the time, in 2000 that the pair met again and their unconventional romance later began after they kissed at a pub and it "felt right".
He joked at the time: "Some people will say 'How do you manage to pull such a young bird?' And I just respond, 'You'd better ask my partner,'" adding that he'd always dated women that were "20 to 25 years younger" than he was.
Charlotte had been on a childcare course before she fell pregnant and revealed that she was happy to have a child with Raymond as he had "such a lot of nice qualities".

Raymond also revealed that their son was "planned" and that he did not use Viagra to aid in the conception, and thought of the baby as a "blessing".
He described himself as the "most fortunate man in the world", adding: "I didn't actually think at my age that it would be possible to have a child, but he's a beautiful little fella.
"I feel blessed. I look at that baby and I think, 'He's so bl**dy healthy and good-looking, how did I make that'?
"For an older man, it's just amazing. I love him to bits and I would give my life for the little guy."
Since Raymond's death last year, Charlotte and Jamie Rai have remained living in his cottage in Colne, Lancs.
And while his age was impressive to have a child, the world's oldest father is believed to be Ramjit Raghav, from India, who fathered a son in 2012 when he was 96 years old.
