Gigi Paris has spoken out for the first time about her painful split from actor Glen Powell, revealing how romance rumors between Powell and his Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney left her heartbroken.

On Tuesday’s episode of the Too Much podcast, Paris reflected on her decision to walk away from their relationship after watching Powell, 36, get cozy with Sweeney, 27, on the set of their 2023 romantic comedy.

"It was just, ‘This is what I have to do for my job,’" Paris recalled of how the situation was presented to her. “I had two options: I could either pretend to go along with it and have people wonder, ‘Are they hooking up? Is she okay with this?’ Or I could stand up for myself and say, ‘No, I’m not okay with this,’ and walk away.”

Paris, 32, said she ultimately chose the latter, but not without emotional fallout.

“I felt shattered,” she admitted, via E! Online. “I just wanted respect, especially if this was going to be so public. Don’t make a fool out of someone you’ve been with for over three years, talking about forever with. Just have some decency.”

She criticized Powell for failing to publicly deny the speculation. “All he had to say was, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend.’ But that never happened. Not once.”

Paris also accused Powell and Sweeney of leaning into the rumors to boost publicity for their film. “Later, they said it was all just PR,” she said. “I don’t know if it was a real relationship or not, but our relationship was collateral damage. It was crazy.”

Though she acknowledged that Powell's career “comes first,” Paris said the way everything was handled left her feeling discarded. “I felt like I was just fed to the dogs.”

In a moment of bittersweet humor, she added: “I actually hoped they’d end up together, just to make it all feel worth it.”

Paris also revealed that Powell ended things with her over the phone while filming in Australia, shortly after tabloid stories about his chemistry with Sweeney began to swirl.

“I was about to go to Australia to work, and all this stuff was hitting the internet. He called and said: ‘The producers and I decided it’s best if you don’t come visit.’ That’s when I hung up. I knew he was done with me.”

She admitted she still had hope until that phone call. “I thought maybe things would get better if I went. But in that moment, I realized I’d lost the person I loved.”

Rumors of a real-life romance between Powell and Sweeney exploded in 2023, with fans pointing to their flirty on-set moments. At the time, Powell was still with Paris, and Sweeney was engaged to longtime partner Jonathan Davino.

In April 2023, a source confirmed to Page Six that Powell and Paris had already split weeks before rumors about him and Sweeney emerged. Paris appeared to confirm the breakup on Instagram, unfollowing both Powell and Sweeney and posting the cryptic caption: “Know your worth & onto the next.”

Sweeney’s own relationship didn’t survive the spotlight either, she and Davino called off their engagement in January 2025, ending a nearly seven-year relationship.
