A woman who has spent thousands of dollars modifying her body has spoken out about the risks involved.

Amber Luke - who has been dubbed Australia's most tattooed woman - aims to transform herself into her "true form", a "Dragon Girl."

Over the past few years, she's been documenting her modifications on social media and has amassed 62,300 fans on Instagram alone. Over on TikTok, her fanbase is steadily growing too, with some of her videos gaining over 1.7 million views.

But while she's almost at her goal, it has not come without risks.

Recently, the star has taken to Instagram to talk about one of the earliest alterations she made to her body.

"Let me tell you a story; one about personal perseverance & taking back what’s yours," she wrote in a post alongside a video of her "oceanic eyes."

"I was blinded for 3 weeks upon my first ever body modification - 7 years ago now. That in itself was the most brutally torturous agony I have experienced to this date so far... then why the hell do it again you ask?"

Luke went on to reveal that the reason for doing so was to feel an "emotional connection."

"I have waited 7 long years to experience what I did yesterday... and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else other than my good friend @gattoo_moreno - who I have been in contact with for 6 years now," she continued.

"Gattoo ensured that I would be in the best hands - and he was 100% correct. From checking in at the procedure, to aftercare and the validation of my pain throughout; it made me feel human again," Luke said before adding: "I cannot thank you and your team enough for traveling here to meet me and letting me experience what I deserved 7 years ago."

Fans gathered in the comments to commend the influencer for her bravery and commitment to her transformation.

"Wooo you’re tough girl! Didn’t know you could mix the colors like that!" wrote one user while another added: "This must feel so amazing for you!! finally getting the experience you wanted and being able to put that traumatic experience in the past."

A third also chimed in with: "Looks so cool. I'm glad you've had a better experience this time (with not going temp blind). Keep doing u girl."

Others also praised the work of the tattoo artist, who combined a mixture of blue and black ink to replace the natural whites of Luke's eyes.

"They came out absolutely incredible!" this user commented, and another agreed writing: "So iconic... looks like a galaxy."

While the star hasn't yet revealed if she's going to get more alterations done, she has emphasized that she's evolving every single day on this journey.

We wish her the best of luck!
