Police officer who looks just like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has left the internet stunned

A US police officer has left people on social media in shock thanks to his uncanny resemblance to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

The image was first posted to social media by Alabama's Morgan County Sheriff's Office, and shows Lieutenant Eric Fields on shift and looking like he's ready to lay the smackdown. The post read:  "A busy day across Morgan County...and our Corrections team was right there with us!

"In addition to their role in the Morgan County Jail they handle transports when an arrest is made which allows the Deputies to stay out on the road! On a side note, if folks went to court when they're supposed to we'd have less warrants to serve."

However, it wasn't the officer's work in the community that got people talking, it was his striking resemblance to former pro-wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Wearing a pair of aviators, a khaki shirt, and black trousers, 37-year-old Lieutenant Fields' strong frame, shaved head, and beaming smile meant he looked just like Johnson's body double on the set of his latest action movie.

As of this writing, the post has received over 2,400 shares and 1,100 comments on Facebook.

One Alabama native even took to TikTok to show off the striking resemblance, with her post amassing over 1 million views. Check it out below:

In the comments sections, people have been going crazy for Fields' likeness to the star, with one person dubbing him "Dwayne 'The Cop' Johnson".

"Prove to me that’s not Dwayne Johnson," one Facebook user added.

A third commented: "Baaaby I thought he was [The Rock]..I was just about to break the law so he could arrest me."

According to WTVM-13's Rick Karle, Fields has worked with the department for the last 17 years, and enjoys daily workouts.

Speaking to Karle, Fields says he's "been having fun" with his likeness to the Hollywood star, adding: "I'm a bit of a cross between The Rock and Vin Diesel. Remember, The Rock is six-foot-four, 260 pounds, and I'm only 6-foot-2, 230 pounds There is a big difference between the two of us."
