A popular adult site has revealed that their searches for 'Hawk Tuah' have shot up after a viral meme sensation caused a stir online last week.
Now if you have somehow missed out on all the action, the Hawk Tuah girl AKA Haliey Welch, was born out of a viral video posted by YouTubers Tim & Dee TV where she was asked: "What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?"
She simply replied: "You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang. You get me?"
The advice seems to have resonated with many as she instantly became a hit online, so much so that she's now one of the top searches on P*rnHub.
The adult entertainment website saw a drastic rise in the search term "Hawk Tuah" with a handful of people hoping to see the advice be put into action - though we must stress that Haliey is not involved in any of the content on the site.
According to TMZ, a representative for the website said that the search, as well as other related searches, are set to top 850,000 this week after the viral star coined it recently.
The outlet reported that there have been "dozens" of different variations of the term, with the most popular allegedly involving men of color... if you get my drift.
Anyway, the rep also noted that while Haliey is not involved in any of the content on there, a lot of the creators have started using the term in their uploads hoping to feed off the craze.
But they also added that if she ever did want to venture into the world of adult entertainment, the platform would happily help her monetize her content.
However, it doesn't look like Haliey's planning on getting involved in the world of p*rn as she tries to break out of the mold she's currently in.
Appearing on the Plan Bri Uncut podcast for her first public interview since she went viral, the star opened up about what this newfound fame has done to her existing life.
"It’s a hit or miss what comes out of my mouth – I just talk out of my a**,” Welch told podcast host Brianna LaPaglia. "The one time I say something like that, of course, there’s a camera in my face."
She went on to state that she's received offers to do cameos as well as offers from strangers to buy a sample of her spit.
Welch said "the guy [who] makes my hats" received an offer to pay $600 for her to spit in a jar and send it to the requester.
“That’s just disgusting, is it not?” Welch said. “And I was like, ‘Should I do it?’ Then I was like, ‘Naw, don’t do that.’"
Despite her fame, she also explained that she can't wait to move away from this current "image" of her on the internet.
"I don’t really want that to be, like, my image,” she told LaPaglia. "I just - I don’t see that being, like, my thang, you know?
"I don’t want to be known as that," she added.
