The Oscars 2020: Here is the full nominations list

Awards season has come upon us: the time of red carpets, acceptance speeches, and well-deserved accolades. But the big question on the lips of the film critics is this: who are the Oscars going to go to? The Academy Awards are the most prestigious and sought-after in Hollywood, and the last year has been a big one for cinephiles.

The nominations are now in, and thus far it seems as though the superhero origin story Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the eponymous Clown Prince of Crime, is leading the charge; currently 11 nominations.

I bet the stars are happy Ricky Gervais won't be hosting the event following his scathing opening monologue at the Golden Globes:

And with the BAFTAs coming under fire for having no people of color nominated in any acting category, you better believe the Oscars nomination list is going to be analyzed with critical eyes.
