Gwyneth Paltrow allegedly let out a "blood-curdling scream" before crashing into a man while skiing, who is taking legal action over the incident.

Utah doctor Terry Sanderson is suing the GOOP founder for $300,000 after he claims he was left with four broken ribs and a brain injury after the two collided on a ski slope at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah in 2016.

According to the optometrist's filing, "Gwyneth Paltrow skied out of control [...] knocking [Sanderson] down hard, knocking him out, and causing a brain injury, four broken ribs and other serious injuries. Paltrow got up, turned, and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow, seriously injured."

As a result of the incident, Sanderson and his legal team are claiming that he has been left with brain damage, causing him to experience regular concussions and changes to his mood and personality. Paltrow is countersuing Sanderson for a symbolic $1 (and the cost of legal fees), stating that the collision was the optometrist's fault, not hers.

Paltrow has already testified over the incident, telling the court that she "lost half a day of skiing" and that she had initially thought she'd been sexually assaulted during the crash.

During her testimony, the Shakespeare In Love actress categorized herself as an "intermediate" skier and shared her version of what happened on the slopes that day. "I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart," Paltrow recalled. "And then there was a body pressing against me. And there was a very strange grunting noise. So my brain was trying to make sense of what was happening," she said.

"I thought, 'Is this a practical joke? Is someone, like, doing something perverted? This is really, really strange.' My mind was going very, very quickly, and I was trying to ascertain what was happening."

The mother-of-two then described Dr. Sanderson as "groaning and grunting in a very disturbing way", before adding: "Our bodies were almost spooning. And I moved away quickly."

In his testimony, Sanderson explained that he had been skiing down the slopes when he came around a curve and collided with Paltrow. He claimed he had heard a "blood-curdling scream" coming from behind him, telling the jury he didn't see the accident coming but definitely felt the impact, via TMZ.

Sanderson then continued that after Paltrow screamed there was a boom, and he felt the impact of the collision - but all he remembers from the incident is being flung into the air.

During Sanderson's testimony, Paltrow was seen shaking her head in disagreement.

Craig Ramon, a witness to the incident and acquaintance of Sanderson, previously told the court that he witnessed the crash from around 30ft away.

He claimed in his testim0ny: "We were skiing down the run and then I heard this yell, this scream, and then I looked over and... then I see this skier [Paltrow] just slam into the back of Terry.

"She slammed him very hard. She hits him directly in the back, his skis go out and he falls face down, so he's kind of spread-eagled and Gwyneth is on top of him... and bounces off and slides about five or 10ft."
