A Brazilian influencer tragically lost her life after sharing an Instagram post that, in hindsight, has proved a very chilling one.
According to local newspaper O Tempo, 22-year-old Júlia Hennessy Cayuela died in a motorcycle accident in São José dos Pinhais outside São Paulo on Thursday, July 15.
She and her husband Daniel Cayuela were on a motorbike road trip, traveling through the mountains of southern Brazil when they were suddenly hit by a truck that was switching lanes on a road in São José dos Pinhais, according to another local outlet, G1.
Daniel had sustained serious injuries in the crash and had to undergo shoulder surgery. The recent widower remains in intensive care.
Per The New York Post, the Federal Highway Police of Parana and Ecovia believe a truck was crossing the BR-277 road when Júlia and Daniel collided into the side of the vehicle.
The 22-year-old beauty influencer was airlifted to a local hospital but sadly died of sudden cardiac rest shortly after.
Júlia was reportedly buried on Saturday, July 17, in the city of Belo Horizonte in the pair's home state of Minas Gerais. Hundreds of dedicated fans and loved ones were in attendance at her funeral.
Hauntingly, the social media star's final post on the platform, on which she had 332,000 followers, was captioned (translated by the NY Post): "Life is short, let’s be crazy - me, you, god and the road. Your dreams are mine."
Júlia's boyfriend Daniel, an entrepreneur, had also shared the same post to his own Instagram account.
In the photo, the helmet-clad couple is seen posing on top of a large yellow sign for the town of Capão Bonito.
Needless to say, both posts have been inundated with messages mostly from their Portuguese-speaking fans who shared their immense grief after news of Júlia's passing.
Elsewhere on the internet, those perhaps less familiar with the web stars have also been sharing their own heartfelt messages.
One person commented: "'Life is short' So true and you never know when it’s your time."
Another wrote: "Prayers and condolences to her family."
A third simply wrote: "So, so sad."

Popular bodybuilder and fitness influencer Alana Paiva has tragically passed away at the age of 21 following a freak motorcycle crash.
According to local media reports, the Brazilian social media star sadly died on October 12 while riding on a motorbike in the Campo Grande neighborhood with her boyfriend, a retired military officer named Uilblim Do Espírito Santo.
It has been alleged that the suspected driver made an illegal turn at an intersection, hit the couple head-on, and ripped the motorbike's handlebars off, as reported by 7News.
While Paiva's 43-year-old partner was initially awake and able to talk to first responders, he succumbed to his injuries just four hours later after being taken to the hospital.
Following the collision, the driver sped away without providing assistance. Authorities are now investigating the incident.
The content creator was transported to the emergency room in critical condition after the horrifying accident. Medics immediately intubated her and put her into a medically induced coma.
On October 17, the Paiva’s aunt Laísse uploaded a hopeful post on her Instagram stories, in which she claimed her niece’s condition was slowly improving.
"They say that prayer cannot be thanked, but I am here to thank you for the immense affection for our dear and the great chain of support that formed around her healing. She continues to fight for her life," she penned, as cited by local media. "We decided to share the news based on what we received."
"We can’t delve into details, but Alana is our miracle. The most important thing is to know that she is evolving, receiving the necessary care and, even though it is a gradual process, we cannot lose faith," she added.
Unfortunately, despite the doctors' best efforts, the young bodybuilder passed away ten days after the terrible accident. She was interred Monday at the Jardim da Saudade de Paciência Cemetery.
The fitness influencer garnered thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok, where she uploaded workout clips and footage from her several victories in bodybuilding and fitness competitions.
She loved bodybuilding and in a social media post described it as a "wonderful sport, which is not just about winning, but about maintaining discipline every day to surpass yourself each time you step on the stage," per 7News.
Many heartbroken fans have now taken to her social media page to pen their heartfelt condolences. One user wrote (translated from Portuguese to English): "My condolences to family and friends! May God comfort you all during this difficult time!"
Another said: "You will be greatly missed! Young woman, full of life and conquering everyone where she went, we will feel sad to hear you singing and motivating us. Rest in peace," while a third commented: "May God keep you forever, full of dreams, take care of her there, Lord."
A fourth added: "May justice be served and your absence never be in vain."

Influencer Luana Andrade has passed away aged 29 after having cosmetic surgery on her knee.
Andrade underwent a liposuction procedure on her knee at a hospital in the southeastern city of São Paulo in Brazil and unfortunately suffered a cardiac arrest about two and a half hours following the operation.
In a statement released by the hospital, they stated that a private doctor and anesthetist were hired by her family to carry out the procedure but a medical emergency saw the model later transferred to the ICU, the Daily Mail reports.
"The surgery was interrupted and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis," the statement read. "She was transferred to the ICU where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment."
Andrade was pronounced dead at approximately 5:30AM on Tuesday and the cause of death was pulmonary embolism as per a report by the Daily Mail.
Upon discovering the news of the tragic news, her boyfriend Joao Hadad expressed his sadness on social media.
"I am torn apart and living my biggest nightmare. A part of me left," Hadad wrote on Instagram.
"We built a beautiful story and lived our dreams intensely," he continued. "In addition to being a girlfriend, you are and will always be a partner beyond life, my love. ...You are my light, princess. I ask that you continue to watch over me and all of us from above.
"I will always love you, from now until eternity," he added.
Other tributes also poured in, with professional soccer player Neymar Júnior also paying homage to the Brazilian star.
"Sad day with two very bad news. First it was the attack that bru's (Bruna Bincardi's) parents suffered, but thank God everyone is fine!" he wrote in Portuguese on his Instagram Stories. "Secondly, the death of a friend. My condolences to the whole family, may God receive Luana with open arms."
Gabriel Medina, a big name in the world of surfing, has also expressed his sadness at the news, blaming social media and society's beauty standards for the death of his friend.
"Today I lost a friend due to 'simple' aesthetic procedures," he wrote. "The world is surreal, people... especially you women. This standard of 'perfect' bodies that are impossible to achieve displayed on Instagram and in the media needs to end urgently."
He continued: "Why risk your life for nothing? Can not understand. We are young, we have several other ways of feeling good, healthy and beautiful."
"This fake world will end up killing more and more young people," he added.
Dr. Eduardo Teixeira, from the Brazilian College of Plastic Surgery, told local news outlet Metropoles that the procedure Andrade had was "like any other."
"There is no risk-free surgery, nor any medical procedure that does not involve some type of risk, especially when it is a surgical procedure," Teixeira explained. "This necessarily involves an invasive technique that requires anesthesia, whether local or general."
The 29-year-old had been working for Domingo Legal since April, a program that aired on SBT network on the weekends.
Celso Portiolli, a presenter on the program, attended Andrade's wake, which took place on Wednesday morning, and recalled she was in good spirits during the show's filming Sunday.
Portiolli also described the loss as "unexpected."
"It was an unexpected loss. She was a work companion who was going through a very special moment," Portiolli told Revista Quem, another local outlet. "When I received the news, I was shocked. All the team was quite shocked."

Elise Caffee, a well-known Utah-based parenting and travel influencer, has tragically passed away after suffering catastrophic burns in a horrific car accident in Mexico.
The devastating news was shared by her family on March 12 through an Instagram account dedicated to updates on her condition.
“We are absolutely heartbroken to share the news of Elise’s passing tonight,” the post read. “She held on so long and fought so hard against an impossibly difficult set of circumstances.”
Elise and her husband, Dan Caffee, had traveled to Cancun, Mexico, on March 6 to attend a wedding when disaster struck, per PEOPLE.
On their way to the hotel, they were caught in a massive 10-car pileup on a freeway. According to a family statement, a truck carrying steaming hot asphalt collided with their vehicle, flipping it over and trapping Elise underneath the wreckage.
"A truck full of hot asphalt hit them, flipping their car, trapping Elise underneath, and dumping steaming hot asphalt on top of her as well as the people in front of the other cars," a family update on social media recounted.
The tragedy unfolded just outside a hospital, which responders described as a miracle. Medical workers rushed to the scene, desperately trying to help those trapped beneath the wreckage. However, the searing heat of the asphalt made rescue efforts even more difficult.
“Hospital workers rushed out and immediately started trying to help get people out from under cars … but were getting burned through their protective gloves because the asphalt was so hot,” a family post revealed.
Elise’s husband, Dan, later shared a heartbreaking update, writing: "Our driver was killed, and Elise was severely burned. I was uninjured."
After being pulled from the wreckage, Elise was rushed to a local hospital, where she was stabilized before being transported to a specialized burn unit in Utah. She remained in critical condition, undergoing multiple surgeries as doctors fought to save her life.
“She’s fighting for her life right now,” a family post read just days before her passing. “She continues to need your prayers.”
In one of their updates, Elise’s family described moments of hope, sharing that she was responsive at times despite her grave condition. “We’ve received hundreds of letters for her, and we can’t wait to start reading them to her,” they wrote.
Her daughters were also able to spend time with their mother in the hospital, bringing her small comforts. “The Caffee girls went in while Elise got her hair washed. Then the girls were able to take turns brushing it and braiding it,” a post shared. “Dan ended the night serenading Elise with his guitar.”
However, despite the medical team’s best efforts, Elise’s condition deteriorated.
The family later confirmed her passing, stating: “Absolutely everything that could have been done for her was done, and we are so grateful she was able to make it back home to say goodbye to her family before leaving us.”
They added: “We believe in eternal families and know we’ll see our beautiful mom, sister, wife, and daughter again.”
Caffee, a mother of three, was known for her adventurous spirit and passion for family travel. Through her Instagram account, 3KidsTravel, she documented her journeys across the world with her husband and children, inspiring thousands of followers with her belief that traveling with kids was not only possible but rewarding.
Her Instagram bio read: “Expert travel mom who believes you can take your kids everywhere!”
She often shared humorous insights into traveling as a family, including her motto: “Bribes work!”
Elise and Dan had committed to a life of travel early in their marriage, despite being told it would be difficult with children.
“When I had my first baby, people told me I’d have to stop traveling so much,” Elise wrote on her website. “But my husband and I decided we wouldn’t stop. When our oldest was four weeks old, we hopped on a plane to a beach. His next trip was an overnight camping trip in Yosemite, and then we took him to Mexico. Over time, we added two more girls to our family, and we kept traveling and adjusting to life as a family of five. Traveling became our way to connect and bond as a family.”
From Paris to Scotland to Maui, Elise shared her love for travel with her children, and her platform became a place of encouragement for parents looking to do the same.
Elise’s passing has left an outpouring of grief and support from her online community, friends, and family.
“We’re so grateful for all the prayers and love that have buoyed us up in the last few days and that we know will continue in the days ahead,” her family shared.
In the coming days, the Caffee family plans to share details about a service celebrating Elise’s life.
“Elise touched so many lives,” one follower commented. “Her adventurous spirit and love for her family inspired so many of us.”
In her honor, the family has also been promoting a GoFundMe to help support the family of the driver of the car, Luis. As of this writing, more than $71,000 has been raised.
Following the announcement of her passing, Elise's social media posts have been flooded with tributes from her fans and loved ones.
"I keep trying to find the words and I can’t, but know our thoughts and prayers are with you," one person wrote.
Another commented: "Rest in peace gone much too soon! Will keep your children, husband and family in our prayers."
"Just saw the news. Fly high on your next adventure!! Condolences to the beautiful family," commented a third.

A travel influencer has tragically passed away at the age of 28.
Maria Eftimova, a civil engineering student at the University of Salford, fell 65 feet to her death during a mountain climbing expedition on the north ridge of the Tryfan mountain in Snowdonia, Wales, on February 22.
The 28-year-old was scaling the treacherous peak with her friend Anna, and Anna’s father when the traumatic accident occurred.
A nearby team member performed CPR in an attempt to revive her, but she could not be saved, BBC News reported.
Following her passing, Eftimova’s friend, Megan Griffiths, paid tribute to the adventurous influencer, remembering her as a selfless soul.
"Maria was a one-of-a-kind person who lived life to the fullest - not only adventurous and free-spirited but also incredibly kind, intelligent, and selfless," Griffiths told the outlet. "Her tragic loss will be felt by so many, and we are absolutely devastated to lose such a precious friend."
Another friend, Victoria Critchley, also shared heartfelt words about the late woman, which read: "Maria was an ambitious, bright and cherished, whose vibrant personality, energy and aura touched and uplifted all around her.
"She had a passion for engineering, having studied civil engineering at the University of Salford, and a love for extreme sports," she continued. "Her biggest passion being snowboarding, which she was super excited for and looking forward to doing again on her upcoming trip to Austria.
"She had an insatiable thirst for life and exploring our world's beauty. Tragically, she was taken from her family far, far, far too soon," she continued. "Words cannot express the devastation her family and our community are experiencing."
The bereaved friend has launched a fundraising page that has raised £19,318 ($24,000) as of the time of writing.
Standing at 3,010 feet, Tryfan is one of the deadliest mountains in the UK, with its challenging terrain claiming multiple lives over the years.
With no designated footpaths leading to the summit, climbers must rely on their hands and scrambling techniques to make the ascent.
The mountain was once used as a training ground to test oxygen equipment and safety techniques ahead of the historic first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953.
Chris Lloyd, chairman of the Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Organisation, has urged hikers to check the weather forecast and ensure they are properly equipped before attempting the climb.
The content creator's horrific death marks the second fatal accident in Eryri National Park within just 10 days, per The New York Post.
Eftimova's family in Bulgaria is now facing significant challenges in bringing her body back home for a proper farewell.
Critchley explained that the fundraiser was set up to ensure the late student receives the dignified farewell she deserves with her loved ones by her side.
