Kyle Rittenhouse has hit out at LeBron James after the NBA star's reaction to the teenager's emotional breakdown in court during trial.

Last month, the 18-year-old was found not guilty on all counts in his homicide trial more than a year after he fatally shot two men and injured a third at a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The teenager began to cry in court during his trial when speaking about shooting three men.

As the image of Rittenhouse crying circulated on social media, the LA Lakers star tweeted: "What tears????? I didn't see one. Man, knock it off! That boy ate some lemon heads before walking into court."

Appearing on Elijah Schafer and Sydney Watson's You Are Here podcast, Rittenhouse was quick to slam the sports star over his comments.

"I was a Lakers fan too before he said that," the teen said. "I was really pi**ed off when he said that, because I liked LeBron and then I'm like, you know what f**k you LeBron."

Rittenhouse also added that it wasn't the wisest decision to travel to Wisconsin on the night of the protest, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

"Well, hindsight being 20/20, probably not the best idea to go down there," he said on the podcast. "Can't change that. But I defended myself and that’s what happened."

Since receiving the not guilty verdict, Rittenhouse has made several appearances on talk shows, including an exclusive interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity as well as Tucker Carlson.

What's more, ex-POTUS Donald trump even invited Rittenhouse to his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Speaking of Rittenhouse, Trump said, per The New York Post: "Really nice man - Kyle. I got to know him a little bit. He called."

"He wanted to know if he could come over and say hello because he was a fan, unlike the other guy," the former president added, referring to President Joe Biden.

He continued: "What he went through, that was prosecutorial misconduct. He should not have had to suffer through a trial. He was going to be dead."
