A 46-year-old man has been sentenced to 100 years behind bars after pleading guilty to sex crimes that included using his sperm in cupcake batter that was then fed to school children.

Former Louisiana sheriff's deputy Dennis Perkins and his 37-year-old wife Cynthia were first arrested in 2019 for the crimes, with Cynthia receiving her sentencing last February, per the Daily Mail.

It is reported that the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Deputy was charged with 150 sex crimes, with one of the charges including ejaculating into cupcake batter.

Cynthia - who was sentenced to 41 years behind bars for her role in the crimes - would then use the cake mix to create baked goods, which she gave to her pupils at Westside Junior High School.

Perkins would plead guilty to one count of second-degree rape, two counts of sexual battery of a child, one count of video voyeurism, two counts of production of child porn involving children under age 13, and one count of the mingling of harmful substances, per WAFB.

The plea agreement was set up in order to protect younger victims involved in the case, meaning they would not have to testify. Each victim approved the plea deal before it progressed.

During the trial, the former deputy faced members of the families of his victims and at times would cry when being confronted by those he had harmed.

During the hearing, Perkins stated: "I just want to make this statement. Jesus Christ has forgiven me. And I’m grateful for that. And, I hope and pray that anybody that this affected will also find forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ."

Moments before, a female victim told Perkins that he is "not worth [her] time" and that "instead of protecting, [Perkins] chose abuse. Have a nice life in prison."

As reported by the Daily Mail, the husband and wife duo were first arrested in 2019 after an image emerged of the pair naked with a minor after a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The pair both lost their jobs, with Cynthia filing for divorce shortly after claiming that her husband had manipulated her into committing the crimes.

One lawsuit states that victims of the crimes involving the cupcake batter have been afflicted by mental health issues and behavioral problems, leaving them unable to sleep.

Perkins will spend the remainder of his life behind bars, with Cynthia serving 41 years.

Our thoughts are with all the victims of these disgusting crimes.
